I've used this for the past 4 months to sleep. I have been struggling with PTSD for the better part of 3 years, and Skyrim was always a comfort game; a world I could adventure in and escape reality for a while. Coming across this video was a blessing, hardly any nightmares anymore and I always come back every night. Just let my thoughts empty out, and let the ambiance take me to Skyrim with my homestead by pine watch. The gentle breeze on the west wings second floor balcony as the warm sun shines down through the trees. Thank you for posting this ambiance it has made my sleeping issues easier to cope with.
Haven’t played Skyrim in years but for some reason i just feel a warmth from listening to this, kinda like a hug from a family member you haven’t seen in a long time.
Literally typed Skyrim 10 hours night ambience black screen expecting it to not exist and even if it did, it be not too great and yet here it is and it’s the best ambient sleep video I have ever listen to. Period. Thank you for this video man your a legend 🤘
I made this video because I searched the very same thing multiple times and could never find anything! RU-vid is making everyone’s life difficult lately. If I ever take this down I will personally message every commenter with a new link from my new channel. I know this video is important to alot of people, so even if the saved link vanishes I promise to reupload with the exact same title so you’ll be able to find it again. Sorry for the trouble 😕
Most my childhood was spent watching my brother play Skyrim, he’s a lot older now and then I started playing, so many hours days spent playing the game I have been longing to play, and now that I get older I can now give that opportunity to my nephew. Skyrim is the game that keeps on give it truly will be a game forever ingrained in to my heart and the hearts of many.
You do realise it was like only 11 years ago? You're acting like it was 40 years or 50 years ago in the 80s lol. Us skyrim players aren't that old sheet
@@doxasophosmoros13 years ago when it came out I was 9, just like plenty of other people who made up the demographic that played the game. It is old enough to be very much so a childhood game lol. It was for me, that’s like prime nostalgia age
Can we appreciate the no ads for a vid this long. I love this so much will be using this to sleep yet alone do homework and just listen to it. I used to fall asleep to skyrim while growing up, this has brought me back. Thank you.
Forgot had this playing over night and in my half asleep mind I heard the bird calls in the video. I got out of bed so excited thinking that there were birds calling outside again only to realize it was coming from the video. Something about realizing that it was coming from the video made me so sad. 10/10 video would sleep to again
I started listening to Skyrim music every night to sleep because of past trauma that kept me up at night. Skyrim will always have a special place in my heart, and I will never forget the feeling of playing it for the first time, it’s a feeling I can’t describe. Thank you for posting this ❤
No problem! Smiles upon you as well. I just saw the other comment you replied to from a couple weeks ago 😑 I don’t know why anybody would be mad about this lol. Thanks :)
Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim all had great soundtracks. But Skyrim was just magical... The trees, the cold air over the mountains.... The animals scurrying off into the distance. Walking around and feeling like this was a real place. The people had personalities. You could tell it was the same voice actor, but the different names and the amount of dialogue still gave each character depth. We'd go out into the world and someone had just figured out a cool new secret and they were in line at the grocery store! I remember going online to get help with things and the resources were so abundant you felt like everyone was in on it. Even now, people who havent ever played know the arrow to the knee line. Its a phenomenon and its still going. I spent the entirety of this comment lost in the memories of so many adventures. Whether new gamer, or vet. Whether super nerd or jock or in between. Racism (except Nords against Dunmer lol) didnt matter. At least for a short while. I think its funny its been over 20 years since 9/11... Few things have brought us together other than tragedy. The fact that eveyone all around the world knows who the dragonborn is just needs to be acknowledged. All the pain in this world.... So little beauty is forever. Skyrim is forever. Its a small win in the grand scheme of things. It may not make the world a better place to live... But Granny Plays Skyrim is a thing so its not all bad! Lol
As someone with insomnia, this video alone has made me fall asleep faster than any melatonin could ever do. The memories of playing this game in 2016, running around as a kajhit, being blessed with endless hours of exploration and worlds unknown to my tiny 10 year old brain made life so much simpler.
My shitty neighbors wake up early and I basically learned to sleep with music. Today it's two days in a row they wake up at 5am. I'm nearing an exam so I'm also bound to studying late. As an insomniac the noise bothered me so much I moved to my living room, which has the tv in front of me. Only this gives me an illusion of an turned off tv and calming ambience from my favorite game. This is a small but amazing thing, thank you. My eyes appreciate this a lot
I've listened to a lot of these Skyrim ambience videos, and while most of them are good for just relaxing, this is one of the only ones I can actually sleep to. I can't sleep to noise if theres any music, it activates my brain too much lol, but this video is perfect because it has all of the familiar ambient noises without the distracting music
Skyrim is such a comfort game for me. Thank you so much for posting this. I struggle to fall asleep at night without something to calm me down/distract my brain and my 'go-to' youtubers all haven't posted today. I found this in my recommended and I can already tell it's helping immensely. Thank you.
Whenever i hear or see a vid of skyrim i get soo drawn to it i want to live in that world soo bad no matter the dangers, skyrim and oblivion have a very special place in my heart and always will, i very much hope they will remake oblivion one day🙏
Idk why but this is the only sleep video that consistently works. I've been dealing with ptsd since 2019 and insomnia has just been a crushing battle all year. I never even finished playing skyrim. It's just a game that I play around in sometimes. The soundtrack is always a cozy blanket. Thanks for providing it.
i struggle with falling asleep and being able to listen to my favorite game’s soundtrack helps me when i cant. all i do is imagine my character taking the path from whiterun to riften and i can hear this amazing music and see the beautiful sights. thank you for posting this. you are helping more people than you know of.
this gave me a dream about being a redgaurd sellsword in hammerfell and exploring vast oceans of sand and being recruited by pirates to finally find a tomb with old writing on the walls of how to become a sword singer, knowing lore helps me make dreams. 10/10 would recommend
Thank you for taking the time to make this. Do you think maybe you could make one with the tavern music Like bannered mare, around the fire, winters tale?
If you can be more specific, I’ll make ‘em for you. Are you wanting like 10 hour versions of each those or back-to-back repeating? Black screen or with a visual background?
Personally, i struggle to find tavern music that seems to fit for the northern cities, plenty of tevern music with rain sounds but i never find good ones with a snowstorm going outside? Is that even doable or is there some reason its never been done? Also tavern music for the ragged flagon w ratway sewer dripping noise would be awesome. When you spend most of your time between myrwatch (Morthal) and shadowfoot sanctum (below Riften) you get some strange favorite tavern ambience and i cant keep leaving my game on all night when i only play survival, gonna come back to a skeleton with a tankard in the flaggon one morning lmao
Goodness, experiencing this music and ambiance back in 2011 was truly something else. Played on the 360 and I would stay up til like 3-4 just listening to the music, usually falling asleep in the process. Sometimes my mum would randomly join me in the lounge in the afternoons to enjoy the music also. Absolutely magical game that really stuck with me, leaving somewhat bittersweet memories behind for me to experience all over again every time I decide to boot up Skyrim.
If you all have this much of an attachment to this then give the man a like and a sub! You wouldnt be watching without him from what i read in other comments. Gotta love what the internet can provide, show this man some love as well!
My mom was a big fan of watching me or my dad play skyrim but due to health issues she couldn't use a keyboard and mouse or a controller and she worked very hard to be able to use a controller again. Unfortunately, she died before she ever got the chance to play the game herself. Despite all of that, I still love skyrim to this, and I'm glad I found this video while looking for some relaxing music to ease my insomnia. Thank you
I’m very sorry for your loss my friend. Your mom sounds like she was an incredibly awesome lady. Enjoying watching you guys play, and having a relationship like that is so cool! I could only imagine. Skyrim does have such a comforting vibe and atmosphere. I can’t explain it, but I know exactly what you mean. Thank you :)
I had to write a paper that basically said what comforts me, movie, game, book, anything. I chose Skyrim (right beside with one of my own projects that is actually made from inspiration of Skyrim) because I did wrote that it's a epic story, adventure, but with every adventure, there's a lot of down time. That own project of mine is called Rage of Steel, it's a lot different than Skyrim now, hell it's possibly more similar to Devil May Cry but I haven't betrayed that fantasy part of it. I really do want to write Rage of Steel down since it's a pretty interesting story using references of Metal Gear, Star Wars, Devil May Cry and a hint of originality too... but I've always had trouble with writing it down since I don't have enough confidence to write.
