try reading some books maybe there are books in morrowind-skyrim naming them or mention fights between them especially "Pocket Guide to the Empire" have things ab out maormer written in them. no not a lore junky just knew i hears/readed somewhere about them before i played ESO so looked it up
I so want a sea elf invasion to be the premise of ES6. Maybe it could be more complicated than that though. Let's say the white-gold concordat is no longer honored and the Thalmor usurps the throne. This sparks a great war that leaves both sides weakened, which sea elves see as an opportunity to get revenge on the high elves. Maybe they even make a dark deal with a daedric prince and bring some world-ending sea monster with them...
I knew about the sea elves (also known as the tropical elves ) since morrowind came out. In ebonheart a man named lezagor has a book in his shop ,the book is called "Far across the sea".It has all sorts of lore , for example it tells some lore about the king of pyandonia "Orgnum ". Pyandonia is the land of the sea elves and in the book it tells of how horribly cold and boggy the bleak archipelago is. It also has a good bit of lore about the native elves of the black marsh, it is said that the elves from black marsh went extinct in the second era because of a deadly flu. If you knew all or some of this stuff ,please leave a like .🏹🗡🛡
Lusty Argonian Maid build! Lifts-Her-Tail, female Argonian One-handed, smithing(so she can "polish" weapons), alteration, restoration. Has an Imperial companion always, uses healing hands on him. Of course, has Shadow Stone, to avoid the Imperial's wife. What'cha think?
I will never "sea" elves the same again, I will "dive deep" into their lore and hopefully it will not "wash" over me; I'm just getting "wet" thinking about elder scrolls lore I'm not sorry
Sergeant Buttfist ಠ ͜ʖಠ *Stopitstravtime* Ice sea wet yew did there bik boi. Nevr b sorry, let ye haters b jelly, 4 they will drown n a pool of salty tears.
Yeah, ESO is no proper TES game, but there is still interesting lore and cool looking representations of said lore within the game. They should use images from there as well.
fishlove69 that's ironic. Fallout 4 looks way more cartoony than Fallout 3, and Skyrim looks way more realistic than Oblivion. It seems Bethesda has their art styles mixed up for their franchises.
Well, you do actually fight giant snakes that were under the command of the Sea Elves in the Dominion starter islands. They just look like normal snakes though.
ShadowPenguin - Skyrim Builds I keep suggesting this. I want to see a Maormer Sea Viper. I made a guide on Steam on how to make a Sea Elf in Vanilla Skyrim using console commands. I hope they make a Sea Elf build soon.
I think it's a joke about how "Sea" sounds like "She" and she is of course a term to desribe females so he's making a joke like "What's so unique about female elves? They're literally everywhere" I don't know i'm guessing it's a joke and if it is I hope my decodation of it is alright.
They sound like ideal hydromancers. Maybe they would bring the craft to tamriel or an aspiring mage would study under one of them. In the next elder scrolls, these guys would make a huge impact on magic history this way.
Why always use exclusively skyrim footage? You have a game with cannon representation of maomers (eso) why not use that instead? Also when you talk about morrowind why not use scenes from the game that actually shows morrowind?
He might only own Skyrim. But still; I'd be leery about watching Elder Scrolls content from someone who ONLY plays Skyrim - it's not exactly the best representation of what the lore's all about.
The Avid Gamer True, however there definitely seems to be more falmer than snow elves out there. Over the course of an era, it seems more likely that like mentioned in the game, the falmer may gain communication with other races than snow elves just coming out of their hidey-holes.
The Avid Gamer It would definitely be cool if your Atmora theory was correct, and the reappearance of snow elves could trigger some event where the snow elves have to be visited in Atmora. It would probably be the Solsthiem to Skyrim, and could be a nice change of scenery. Unless the setting is High Rock, then it would just get redundant.
Igma make the most sense as a playable race we already have 4 humans and 4 elves but only 2 beast races the igma could flesh that out and they live on the mainland if mostly in valenwood and are more likely to pop up because of that than a race from a foreign island or say the races from akivar.
I was thinking how cool it would be for Bethesda to incorporate Sea Elves and a bunch of other races that live in Tamriel and Akavir potentially etc, but if they did, they'd need to introduce the race and then we could play in the next game, so that means we'd potentially have to wait a long time to get them but what if Bethesda pulls a New Vegas on TES and have a different company to make a game that's part of the Canon but didn't count as an official continuation of the series, so it could be used to create the new races, and then in TES6 we could play as Sea Elves, and (I wish) Dwemer, or even unbetrayed Falmer or other extinct races I'd love that
I honestly loved the sea elves in ESO even though you never got to play as them. As a foe, they were decent in low levels to fight. Decent mages and awesome frost based spellswords.
I'd like to see how sea elves and argonians get along. Though both are from different origins they are some how both shaped and adapted to marsh and aquatic environments. They even share a hatred towards high elves. These two races can prove to be hostile towards each other or equally prove to be great allies.
I hope we get to see the maormer in the next Elder Scrolls game. Fighting them in ESO is fun and all, but it leaves me wanting more of them in a RPG styled Elder Scrolls game. Don't suppose we'll 'sea' 5 facts on High Elves next?
Such a unique race of elves, sharing an appearance like the falmer but using chitan for crafting and construction like the chimer and dunmer, they also share a homeland similar to that of the jungles of elsweyr, black marsh and valenwood. Yet they share ancestorship with the altmer of the Summer Set isles.
It is very likely that Orgnum is an Old Ehlnofey, he's been around since the Merethic Era and Ehlnofey are immortal, the original Et'ada spirits that lost their powers in the creation of Mundus.
Wouldn't it be awesome if the sea elves were what help break the Thalmor? A secret alliance between Valenwood dissidents and the sea elves to hit the Thalmor and take over the Dominion in the 4th era.
Hell, then the new Aldmeri Dominion could make a peace with the Empire for trade and you'd have a new Aldmeri Dominion (without a fanatical government, however the sea elves are conquerors so there would be a push for a campaign either into Tamriel, or perhaps Akavir with an alliance with the Empire.) Would be neat, I just would love to see the sea elves have a role in overthrowing the Thalmor who in my opinion are the real villains of Skyrim.
I want an Elder Scrolls game based on Akavir. I think this could really be Bethesda's opportunity to focus on quality over quantity. You'd just have the three native races: Tsaecsi serpent-men, Ka'Po'Tun tiger dragons, and Tang Mo monkey people. Each would have unique playstyles and powers, and the common threat would be the Kamal snow demons. This would also allow the game to have an opposing element of ice. In a lot of games and in Oblivion, bad guys (daedra in Oblivion) are dominantly fire based. Skyrim had dragons which were either fire or ice, but the most unique enemies in Skyrim were the dwarven automatons that were associated with lightning. I'd love to see an Akavir game where most of the landscape is warm, but certain areas overrun with the Kamal are temporarily frozen over.
From what I've read, the tiger people are called the tiger dragons because their culture revolves around ascending as a dragon like one of their god-kings. I don't know if there would be "regular" dragons there, especially depending on the time period. But continuing to implement dragon shouts would be cool, although it seems like that would be locked to the tiger race.
i can see in the distant future of tamriel, the audacity of the Aldimer will see to it their generations and their childrens generations after theirs will experience the same, 'kindness' the dunmer, kahjit, and the Argonians in windhelm got to enjoy. And there will be no ally to run to.
idk if u guys already did this but you guys should do a back round with a mod that lets u have like multiple followers like 5 and make a back round for the followers and then the player so its like a group thing. sorry if its too much to ask but I was just wondering if you could it could be cool. Like if u agree
for example something like " the group was a mercenary group and was then hired from a man that was sent to find the dova king and they all had there own specialties with one liking the heavy weapons who grew up in a town in some place and was then forced to pick up the great sword to defend a friend who was inspired by the bravery and practiced with a sword to be noticed by the man that saved him and was under his root, then the two became mercenaries and was then picked up by another man of specialty of sneak but he never talked but when they saw him change they saw many scares hence the reason why he wears a bunch of clothes to then cover them and he always used a sword with a hidden carving that was showing it was his family sword and then they were hired to capture the dova king to seek his skills to join there group as his specialties was something no one else had which he had leader abilities and was very well rounded that no one else could do." something like that. I'm too lazy to actually put effort i would but I'm tried and wanna sleep
A few things: *MAORmer - Maori; considering this, the cultural parallels become clear. Impenetrable mist - land of the long white cloud; Aotearoa, New Zealand. Snake creatures and kelp forests - taniwha, mythical serpent-like water guardians; harakeke or flax, a prominent textile and building material; monstrous kelp forests across the coastal waters of the Tasman Sea, the Southern Ocean and Cook Strait. Pyandonea - Polynesia, "many islands", a sub-zone containing the large archipelagos of the southern Pacific Ocean, relatively isolated from the northern hemisphere of influence. Sailing upon flotilla, in some cases great serpents - the many migrations carried out on catamaran type vessels capable of long-term habitation; a floating village. Also, the reference to great eels, serpentine beasts and "taniwha" in native legends across Polynesia. Bonus item: King Orgnum allegedly doped-up and banged Queen Potema, daughter of Emperor Pelagius II, and following this interaction was ambushed off the coast of her kingdom by Iachesis of the Psyjic Order (~Wolf Queen of Solitude series, Skyrim). Evidences action in posing opposition against the Summurset Isles.
If I remember correctly, Sea elves are only mentioned in one of the books from the game. It is cool that there is a mod and we can play them in Skyrim! ;)
The Sea Elfs are by far my favorite race. it's so sad how they are treated as Pirates or invaders in ESO. I really hope they are a playable race in ES6.
I made a guide on Steam about how to make a Sea Elf in vanilla using console commands. I think a Sea Viper (Maomer pirates) build would be pretty awesome, making use of the Storm Call shout and the Whirlwind Cloak spell to mimic the ability for Sea Elves to summon storms.
It would be really cool if there were sea elves in the next game, possibly even playable. It would make sense for them to show up if ES6 takes place in the Aldmeri Dominion, like many people hope.
first snow elves, now sea elves. there must be an elf for everything. what's next?" sky elf, ground elf, cosmic elf, super-god-master elf, fire elf, etc."
If Orgnum was the ruler of the Maomer before they changed, is it known whether or not he retains the appearance of an Aldmer similar to Almalexia with respect to the Dunmer?
Would definitely like to see more playable races than just the classic 10. Need an elder scrolls that explores the ideas of some of the races on other continents or something:D
