Alex Calhoun-Davis Well, that and broke. Won’t have enough money til maybe Christmas or January. Honestly, would rather buy BoTW anyway. Nothing against Skyrim. I just have a lot of games to try on Switch that I haven’t actually played. Even if I buy Skyrim, I won’t even play it. It’ll be there for, shit, anyone else who wants to play it lol
Can second this, I've really been needing something to play on my switch recently when there's nothing to do at work - I've already played this game many times on pretty much every system - but never find myself tired of it.
it’s still on sale and i’ve been wanting it for a while for switch, wouldn’t have known about the sale if it weren’t for ur comment so thank you kind stranger
OfficeBum yeah now you say it, fallout 4 would be a bad option on the Nintendo Switch but maybe if they used the old way where parts of the map was loaded in as you walk kind of like Fallout New Vegas it might be annoying but I think with all the settings turned down to none or Low and maybe some AA There could be a way to run it and look quite decent
I loved it on 360 and put like 100 hours into it back in 2012. I found myself coming back to it and doing different guilds and classes. My first class was a mage where I mastered all the the magic and enchanted some glass armor. And then I came back again and played as Orc heavy swordsman crafting a daedric set of armor, an eleven stealth/archer, and a nord shield and sword warrior. So many different ways to play. Great exploration and quests.
They still had to port the game to switch. Its why games that are just now being released on switch are costing full price. Its because it costs money to develop and companies look to make a profit. If u want it cheaper just wait a while
Yeh but as already mentioned, they did nothing BUT port the game, every single asset was already made, they had 0 cost of making the world/sounds/etc, pretty much what another guy mentioned already in the comments.
Silent K you're missing the point. They had to work on this for what seemed like a long while. That sorta stuff costs money and it's not actually a straight port. They changed up the textures, the colors the resolution plus the time to get all of that working. That cost money.
This game on the switch lite is on a another level. The switch lite feels like a true handheld, like how a psp or ps vita would feel. And running skyrim on that is beyond crazy. Enjoying every second
@@N3cr0m4nc3r-5that's funny I just returned my switch lite for the OLED, the lite had a couple outstanding flaws to it for me. Once the sticks go its over and they came loose. The wifi card was atrocious compared to the OLED. It took 2 hours to update the system and 5 minutes on the OLED.
i’m replaying skyrim again lol in 2022. it’s rewarding to work a long shift at work and then come home, smoke up a bit and hop on skyrim for a couple hours. super relaxing and it honestly helps me forget whatever is going on in the real world lol
the first time I played skyrim was on the Nintendo switch I'm now a massive elder scrolls fan and I plan to get an xbox one to play morrowind and oblivion
1st time skyrim player, maybe its fate but i work in a salvage yard and found skyrim and mario kart 8 in a car today. Lucky i have a switch and its doing an update right now, but well see how this goes
Same here man, literally never even played the same, only seen gameplay videos on RU-vid and all the "arrow to the knee" memes. Picked it up for the Switch and never turned back. Don't even care if its not on par with the PS4/XBONE graphics, its still a fun game. Basically, if you loved Breath of the Wild (which I did) - than Skyrim is right up your alley.
i don't need it, but i want it. i've purchased the elder scrolls 5 2 other times before and when i finally purchase a switch (after animal crossing comes out) i'm definitely picking this up just so i have have that exploration in a game that i really love
Thanks for making this video! Instead of spending 60 dollars in skyrim I went and bought: 1- knight squad (because my wife enjoys the first one since xbox, and wanted to show it to me) 2-Frontine Zed (Because I really love the LAST STAND flash game saga from Armor games and CON ARTISTgames, and I wanted to show it to her.) 3-Breathedge (because when I finish subnautica, I still wanted something similar but different, In space.) Thanks guys for saving me money and happiness. Hey! Wanted to ask, what you guys think about 2 and 3? Is Frontline Zed worth a "before you buy" episode?
Eunan Murray They said cellular phones weren’t possible. No way that kids would be carrying these around in the next 20 years (1980s) look at us now. You don’t know what’s impossible
It doesn't have to be, but it's much appreciated. And to all of the folks saying this or that resolution / fps combo is better, do you know what is actually better? 4k at 240FPS. Do we have the hardware to do that currently? No. But it is, objectively better.
Skyrim is still in my rotation of games I play. I ordered a Switch today and even though I didn't order it along side it, I know for a fact I will definitely be picking it up for switch at some point. Without a doubt my favorite game of all time
I ended up getting it yesterday for two reasons. One being just the lack of big games for the switch so it’s something extra to play, and two being the I’ve never had time to complete even the main story from time constraints among other things. Since I’m not a massive graphics maniac and just want gameplay, I’m quite happy with it
As soon as I finished this video I purchased and downloaded it for my switch Lite all I wanted to know was If the gameplay was any different. I got a good amount through my Xbox 360 version but no longer have it and want to continue playing it I have loved this game even before playing it because of memes. Thank you for the review you have rekindled a lost passion for me. I’m going to leave this here along with a like and follow. You’re a savior to me for this review
I own Skyrim on the PS3, Xbox one and recently the switch, half price sale on eshop swayed me. Honestly, as someone who has put 400+ hours over many years into this game I’m glad I purchased it yet again. It feels refreshing to play it exclusively on hand held with the lite.
Only complaint for me was the screen is small enough to where it's hard to focus on everything in the game since it's all squished essentially. But honestly, it's nothing on the devs, and it's mobile, so, it's basically perfect! :D
“HANDLING STUFF ON THE SWITCH” Yeah the switch is great, but i have had skyrim crash on me multiple times, especially the switch and only on the switch (dont know if this happens with every console) i also hear weird noises out of the switch when playing Skyrim. Dont know if its either breaking or that’s normal
RAN INTO A SAVE PROBLEM. the switch doesn’t have as much space as other platforms so I actually ran into an issue where I couldn’t manually save because there wasn’t enough memory space to create new saves. I had to go thru and delete like 100 of the older saves on my character to keep playing
Just picked up a Switch Lite yesterday. (I know I’m late to the game) Skyrim is my all time favorite game and have to say I was impressed on how they managed to get this to run on Switch. But after thousands of hours in this game on so many platforms (PC, console and VR) I got bored pretty quick. Not to mention, once you are spoiled with mods, vanilla Skyrim is just meh. Think it will be nice to play a quick quest or two on the go here and there, but I need to check out more of what Switch has to offer. Good honest review 👍🏻
In 2013,yes i do want to play it as a user who has just bought a switch lite.havent played skyrim since 2016 and want to dive back in as i have done with the bioshock series recently.
xD no... just no... the pc is the only place to play any bethesda games. dont get me wrong, i played skyrim on the 360 back in 2012 and it was fun but now i got a pc and let me tell you its the best way to play hands down. And its fairly easy to run.
Always loved this game, got it a few days ago for switch when it was on discount and been playing it a lot since then, I always loved being able to take a game on the go or just playing in bed and I got this BIG game in order to do just that, its really a must have if you have a switch but if you've play this game already on console and your looking to see if it has anything new, it doesn't really have anything new except the Zelda armor and the amiibo power but you have to have an amiibo for that, but don't let this make you not buy because trust me you need it!
If they ported all of the previous Elder Scrolls games to the switch I would die happy. Id kill to play dagger fall, morrow wind, and oblivion on the switch.
Im so late to the party. I was in college when this game first came out and i never played it, i didnt have time for these types of games. Now in 2023 i bought this game for the Nintendo Switch to play it for the first time ever. I play it portable and I am like addicted to this game now lol. I dont know if ill finish it but so far i fee i gotten my moneys worth lol The music alone is amazing.
I didn’t buy/play Skyrim until I bought it for the switch. I burnt myself out with morrowind, and oblivion I needed a break from the elder scrolls. And now It’s portable. And I’m glad to back playing elder scrolls games.
I think its still full price because of the inclusion of the DLC and the cost to port it over, as well as some minor graphical upgrades. That'd make it about $40-$50.. so about $15 dollars go to profit, and I'm guessing 2/3 of the profit goes to new titles
Forget VR, the next upgrade this game needs is a co-op mode. I can't help but think the Switch is the perfect chance to get such an initiative off the ground.
The Elder Scrolls games offer an experience unlike anything you'll find in other games. The open world, the character creation freedom, the deep lore, the role-playing immersion... other games do these things in part, but none of them all at once, or if they do, they're not high fantasy and so might not appeal to certain types of gamers. Until TES6 is released, Skyrim is still the best way to scratch a certain itch, and if I can do that anywhere on the go with a handheld Nintendo Switch, that's simply great.
I think skyrim is by far the best elder scrolls game to me because the feeling of purpose it gave you and how great it felt when you finished a bounty so you can get it off your journal and I will gladly play it on handheld no matter what the price
I always find myself watching these after being disappointed with a game to see if anyone experienced what I had experienced, I'm currently hardlocked on half of all the quests
I never understood the whole "hey this switch port of a previous generation game plays surprisingly OK!" mentality... The switch is more powerful than previous generation consoles. It shouldn't be surprising at all that a last get port runs well Also, a wonderful little barely-mentioned bonus to Skyrim on Switch is that lockpicking actually feels like an engaging mini game due to HD rumble. And the gyro aiming, of course. Does that make it worth ANOTHER 60$? kind of a hard sell, but I did buy it. Begrudgingly.
I think it's great that it was released on the Nintendo switch. I don't think that it should be sold at full price though! Seriously it's an $80. Dollar purchase here in Canada. I'd really like to play Skyrim on switch but I'm not spending $80. to do so...
I won't be getting it. I just played Skyrim way too much. It's boring now and I want Elder Scrolls 6 already. Or a remake of Mirrowind by BluePoint for PS4 (they did the Shadow of the Colossus remake)
Late reply but im enjoy the game like crazy. Just happy I can go to the woods and lay down and play the game in a relaxing environment instead of dragging my ps4 and tv and a power source
"Screw this I can't believe how bad it looks and the fact that it's priced up to $60 again already. Like who does Bethesda think they are? I hate them so much and this is INSULTING!!" *buys Switch and Skyrim angrily*
I don't understand why people don't like the skyrim re releases, they aren't forcing you to buy it and its just allowing more people to play the game and therefore hyping up the next game
Rayy Is Baee but the next game should already be out by following Bethesda's 6 year Dev cycle. They were already developing fallout 4 while they were doing Skyrim.
Finally some positive feedback, dude it’s Skyrim, one of the best rpgs in the business. I don’t care if they keep re releasing it, people love the game and they want to keep playing it. Now it’s portable and it runs great, that’s a god send man. As for elder scrolls 6, let’s be real, there working on t obviously and it just might... just might come out next year. Just be patient
