Great showcase, for skoglendi what choice to you choose during the FOMOD? Because there is "Bethesda's Cut" "NoGrass in NoGrass" and "None." Which one did you pick? Edit: And did you choose the INI Settings? Kind of random but I'd really like to know.
Been using Tamrielic for years. It would've been perfect if it weren't for the ugly snow grass. I've tried SO MANY grass mods as a replacement. Northern looks good but again it has that ugly snow grass, Folkvangr is great but I had frame drops in certain areas. I'm using Skoglendi now with Bethesda's cut to get rid of unnecessary grass in Solstheim.
Thanks for this, such a cozy vid with the weather ambience and the little tune in the background (: Love Folkvangr, been using forever. Without it game just looks empty. Need to audition some alternatives tho, the FPS hit is reall
Verdant still holds up so well after all these years. Veydosebrom doesn't get enough recognition imo. I think a patch between Veydosebrom and Nature of the Wildlands would produce the best results.
Nice work. I did a deep dive into grasses over the past two days and I think Tamrielic has the best green tundra. I've been using it for a while and it gets great performance but I don't care for the Rift or volcanic grasses. I need to do a deep dive into grass patch creation.
I'm having a nightmare with grass mods. None seem to respect the DLC and CC content of AE that I've tried, even with No Grassias and Landscape fixes, I'm still getting grass growing in water meshes and through flooring, crowding out areas that should be bare for travel, etc. Seeing this I'm hoping to try out Veydosebrom, which is new to me. Thanks for highlighting it. Have you tried 'Short Grass'?
Yeah grass is tricky. It's difficult to find a mod that fits every type of area, but I really like veydosebrom! As for grass growing on roads and such, you can try the mod No Grass In Objects in addition to Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods. That should help nicely. Good luck!
Out of all these mods which 1 is performance friendly with no fps loss and no enbs ? Becuz i use a laptop and the tends to heat up a lot but fans speed reduce it to 75°C.
May be it's too late for the reply, but still =) Northern grass is the most performance-friendly from all grass mods presented in the video, especially pairing it with grass fps boost can give you pretty lush environment without fps loss. Alternate to Northern grass could be Cathedral landscapes (I ran it on my 10-years-old laptop and I didn't see any performance loss). Combine it with one of weather mods from the same author, and you'll get a great looking grass even without enb (Community shaders + its addons could be a good alternative to enb). Plus it has pre-generated terrain lod textures (which can be used with Skoglendi too), and you will not notice transition between landscape and grass at the distance =) Cathedral may even outperform vanilla grass
Thank you for great comparsion! considering COMPLEX GRASS imo veydose is the best / in descending order Skoglendi (beautiful tundra and not as bright as veydose) => Verdant ( similar to skoglendi but brighter in every way) / the three of them look alike. If you want to get a very realistic forest, then you need QW Grass Patch 2 (autumn is not autumn, but varied) . Tamrielic (makes tundra too green but winter very fluffy) and Northern Grass (turns autumn into spring) are quiet simillar and minimalistic. Folkvangr I liked it the least but all the replacers here are wonderful in their own way, happy modding guys
Veydosebrom seems the most consistent, Folkvangr and Sklogeni have the nicest looking moving grass, Northern grass has the best lushness, QW2 has best variety but looks out of place.
Veydosebrom does a very good job,it just needs a litle bit variance and some new plants here n there, Skoglendi is awesome especially if you add denser ini tweaks but i cant find a way to make it work with Jk skyrim and other mods. Still Vey covers all areas very well with snowy grass etc but fills a little bit static and empty, Id like a mix of Skoglendi and Veydosebrom. Also been using veydosebrom most of the time since i use JK outskirts n Skyland and found it to be the most compatible in terms of no grass in objects and patching etc...
Honestly I don't think I did! If you're using the latest version of NAT it's possible the rain was changed by the author. This is an older version being used in the video.
