I think southwest from Helgen, there's acutally a small house burned down by alduin with 2 burned corpses holding hands in it. Thats pretty sad aswell!

in the rift there is a farmer lady who is angry at her husband for leaving her and her daughter. but in one of the caves/mines south-east of the rift you get to discover that he didn't left him but was captured and killed by bandits i think and you can choose to give the letter or journal you find on him to his widowed wife to reveal the truth. i found that rather touching aswell. not sure if i got all the facts 100% right.. bin a while so i forgotton exact locations

What about the little ghost girl you meet in Morthal? That quest made me sad.

For the 4th one I think he has the necromancy book because he tries to bring his friend stuck in the bear trap back to life after he died

The location ( which happen to have a quest related to it ) that strike me the most was the Frostflow Lighthouse ! Those poor guys.

what about the mistwatch quest? where the husband thinks his wife is dead and needs foreclosure but the wife is actually the bandit leader and you can either kill her, take her ring and lie to him, or tell him the truth then hell attack you and they'll both be dead, or take her ring and lie to him, and neither of them die.

There’s this really sad place called Meeko’s shack where basically there’s a dead nord in there and you may or may not (I never got to see him) but supposedly there’s a dog in there mourning the death of the dead nord that was probably his owner. But the good part is, is that if you have a house and a kid(s) you can adopt the dog and make him your own, awwww how sad but how heart warming.

BTW, with the position the first girl was in, it's assumed she was raped.

One rather excellent addition to this video would have been the story of the two Nord fishermen found near Windhelm, Advard and Skeggr, whose longboat tipped over in cold water, and were subsequently eaten by Slaughterfish. Their named skeletons can be found floating near the tipped over longboat, and a camp nearby will have the journal of Advard.

The mammoth graveyard, where mammoths go....to die

The fact that there are so many of these intricate stories to find out for yourself in Skyrim is what makes it such an amazing game. Saddest one I've seen before this video was the mage on the beach near Winterhold who set herself on fire trying to cast a spell and you find her charred corpse in the middle of a magic circle.

The one with the tent for two and the shoes left behind could be a reference to campers from Russia in the Ural Mountains who were found dead, they ripped out of their tent from the inside out without clothes and shoes and their corpses were found burnt and irradiated. It’s a big mystery to this day

When you were going to find the two necromancer skeletons, I remembered the frozen mammoth and went to go check it out and strangely enough it had dwemmer arrows in it. And to be in ice like that it must have been there for years

Also I think the saddest location for me is Yngol Barrow. The further you go in you see more and more of those spirit balls following you. Maybe they are the "Sea Ghosts" from the nearby book Yngol and the Sea Ghosts but it almost seems like they desire some companionship by following you. That or they are just leading you to Yngol himself but it's only his Shade that's left. The mystery of what they seem to want is what's kind of sad about it.

Tbh, the Falkreath Dark Brother Hood sanctuary gets me sad because when I first played I got really close to them and really enjoyed doing the quest. Was really sad when I had to kill Astrid

Man i love your video so many things in skyrim that i want to replay again whenever i play skyrim i get different encounter its totally different from another play through. In fact when i seeing your skyrim video still so many to uncover.

This is the only channel on RU-vid with such a dedicated hard work towards Skyrim, expressed with such a professional manner. No BS all great interesting and informative videos. You always surprise me with your little bits of comedy. Love it!

If you visit embershard mine, somewhere along through the mine, you'll find a dead miner. With him is a journal in which he detailed his life as a miner. He wrote that he was stressed out by the sounds the weak beams made around him (there are wooden beams protecting miners from the weight of the roof of the mine). He wrote about how his complaints about these beams were always in vain. He also wrote that in order to escape from the stress, he drank mead often. A simple observation will reveal that his death was caused by the collapsing of the roof over him because of the weakened beams. You can also see the broken beams. Tragically ironic.

The hot springs is a reference to lion king the elephant graveyared

These videos are old now but I still enjoy watching them. I still play Skyrim regularly and it is still my favorite of all my games.

that last place and event seems a lot like Romeo and Juliet there was even a shrine of Mara after it was discovered. I also noticed that they both had daggers on then, maybe they killed themselves knowing that no one would allow their love.

ESO, you mentioned friendly giants. There is one more friendly giant and it is an easter egg of sorts. When wandering the roads you come across a giant and his ox with blue markings on it. This is a reference to an American folk tale of Paul Bunyun and Babe the Blue Ox. You should look up the tale sometime if you are not familiar with it.

About location number 2. (Giant and Mammoth related) - @ESO, That's not the only one friendly giant in the Skyrim, as you said in the video. In fact, there is another one friendly giant (along with his mammoth) that I came across recently. Both of them are not hostile at all, and won't attack player even if you pass by very near two of them.That giant and his mammoth can be seen roaming between this area: Swindler's Den, Broken Fang Cave and Sleeping Tree Camp (but not actually part of Sleeping Tree Camp's giants and mammoths).

Oof you just see that dragon flying around in the background...

One time i was exploring by whiterun and it saw a giant walking by a cow that had paint on it

I remember hitting that hot springs spot. I stood with the giant for a few minutes and went on with my day.

I noticed the mammoth graveyard in the springs I figured they were leftover from dragon attacks, the springs are a dragon hot spot & mammoths are a favorite food for them as I've seen mammoth bones scattered in their dragon lairs.

Didn’t even mention Sapphire from the thieves guild!! Doing the dragonborn dlc go to the smith in raven rock. Find the pickaxe etc. And you will be rewarded with a key to a room in Glover’s house, collect the loot he leaves for you and next to the strongbox there is a letter to Sapphire, his daughter. In it he explains a bit of backstory and it is very sweet, legit brought tears to my eyes. If you take the letter and give it to sapphire you get an exquisite sapphire which is her good luck charm. Plus, the letter respawns after a while which is great👌🏻

Hey @ESO , just found your channel and I enjoy the content. I'm a few month's late to the game on this video, but I have some insight to the friendly giant location. Because of the sheer size of mammoths, i dont think that a giant could take a mammoth corpse anywhere after it has died. Considering the connection their giants have with them (keep in mind, these giants carve their tusks and the mammoths LET them), its more than likely that the giants don't take their dead mammoths to the springs, but that they take their 'old'and 'sick' mammoths to the springs, so that they can live out their final days bathing in the hot springs, and relieving their aching muscles. The giants Feel the mammoth growing closer to death, and take them to a place where they will be most comfortable, like a man and his dying dog, making this much sadder than just mourning the mammoth, but really showing that while Skyrims giants may seem like savages to us, their care and love of their mammoths is anything but savage. With that, A good day to you. Also, Subbed.

on story 3 has anyone searched on the sea?

This is why skyrim is better than fallout. Although i did love the interconnectivity layout of the fallout city.

So as a response a year later, for the first 1 with the dead naked lady, the two Forsworn you found seems to be from Druadach Redoubt, and apparently if you helped Madanach during "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine all the Forsworn will be friendly which might be why they didn't attack you.

#5 - Found that location while just randomly walking around looking for another location. Was attacked by Forsworn, but with Lydia & Serana, was easy pickings. :) #3 Found at a good time. Playing with a mod that requires eating and sleep, and well, needed a rest. Perfect spot for a quick nap:). Have to assume that the dragon is always there at location #2. Found #1 by accident as well. Seems the only one I've missed is #4. Have to go exploring soon :)

there's a proper mammoth graveyard in the game. one of the houses you can build in the hearthfire dlc has a proper graveyard nearby it. I stumbled upon this random really dark and dead lank covered in skeletons and I was quite surprised to find it.

There is a sad place I found that is directly northeast of the place called: Wreck of the Winter War (which u get the location of in a campanions quest or accidentaly) . And if you go to the place you will find a camp with a few wine and ale bottles. And if you go East of the camp into the sea you will find two skeletons with the names of Advard and skeggr, I don't know the story completely but it seemed pretty sad because there was a snow bear, wolves, and slauter fish there....

#2 is North EAST of Mistwatch btw. However, this was highly entertaining. Thanks so much for making this!
