Hey bro nice glitch, you can though just have your companion repickup the items again and again instead up picking it up and dropping again. You should only pick it up yourself when you want to end the glitch. Makes it way faster to dupe stuff :)
Romthy try link's gear. I can't get it or the bloodskal blade to dupe. Got the dawnbreaker to dupe (the only item to hold it's enchantment) even stahlrim will eventually. Nothing duped has enchants either.( really good for adding better enchantments) Really want to dupe the master sword. Ya know to duel wield? Do a video if you can get links to dupe would be awesome.
5Bigfoots the companion picks up the items leave the area come back they will be on the floor again. Keep doing this over and over until you have the amount you want. Then when that happens you close the glitch by picking up the items yourself. You don't need to repeatedly drop the items. However keep in mind the original drop amount slowly decreases don't freak out just try to start with no less than 10
Still works like a charm. But first time I did it this old woman came at me with a knife and interrupted the process, Lydia being the loyal housecarl she is, gave chase and started a battle with some of the guards after slaughtering that random oldie.

Lol it was going great until the old beggar came over and started stealing my fire salts. Then I clicked on her because I was having my companion pick them up, so my companion attacked her, which triggered the guards to attack her lmao. Fuckin chaos and I just want to cheat this fetch quest

One thing he doesn’t tell you is that it actually takes around 700 to 900 gold bars because like in every game you need more and more experience to level up your skills. So T the beginning it might only take 3 or 4 rings to level up at level 80 it takes around 13
19/08/2020, can confirm this still works! Thank you for showing off this glitch! I guess we still have Bethesda’s incompetence to thank to some degree that even over a decade later they’ve not been bothered to fully fix this game.
The glitch does work, but sometimes items completely disappear. For example, I dropped 5 grand soul gems, and came back to find 4 on the ground. It does work though, so in the end you will profit anyways
I noticed this too. It seems that the more you drop the more accurate the number that reappears. I also saw to keep it under 40 items. I've been doing around 20-30 and its been working good. Lots of dragon bones lol
You did a lot of unnecessary steps. Here is all you need to do: 1) Drop the items in front of the little bridge in front of Whiterun exit. 2) make the follower pick it up. 3) Exit and re-enter whiterun. 4) Enjoy your duped item.
@@skylez674 I was doing this last night, I found that you need to drop more than just 4 or 5 items for it to work right. If you drop around 20 items they duplicate fine. Short answer is yes it works. Just do it right by the gate,
I usually just drop my items in the house fast travel to a nother house and do the same then just fast travel between the two house's and have my companion pick them up. I do that with rar arrows and such.
Hey just to spped things up, You don't have to drop the items On that road, you can do it directly infront of the whiterun gate. I have a Switch and can confirm that it works in any location. Also to mention what someone said below, you can have your companion pick up the items, run out of the gate, and come back and they will be on the floor. Note: Your dupe amount will only increase steadily at this point, if you dropped 20, duped 20, and have 40, you wont get 40 next time you will continue to only dupe another twenty, so This is faster but just setup a large amount and steadily dupe the items to your desire.
I'm glad that this doesn't seem to add the stolen tag like a previous duplication method did. Will test this out for myself later. I need material for ebony arrows. 🙂
Bruh I can’t express how much this will help, but when I did it with a fine steel plate armor, it turned into a normal steel helmet when I came to pick it up
Found a faster method after you get alot of the ore you want just keep entering and exiting after telling your companion to grab the ores and repeat it
This may seem like a weird question, but will this work for the Master Sword and/or Hylian Shield you get as either amiibo or at the Throat of the World? I'm only wondering because it's my go-to weapon, and I want to have different enchantments for different situations without replacing it with any old weapon.

Sadly can’t you can’t do it with the jarrin root. I made it into a potion and went on a killing spree but the game had a melt down and shut down on me x) turns out you can only use it twice after the first spree then the game deletes the rest that’s in your inventory... I was so disappointed -.-
I tried this with Faendal, the wood elf in river wood, but he doesn’t seem to pick it up when I tell him to. Do I need a certain companion or something? Please answer btw, I’ve always had trouble growing my smithing skill.
Charlie Kissinger choose i need you to do something...your crosshairs change and you can select the items you dropped...they will go into your followers inventory...go back into whiterun. Bust a 180 exit and your items will be on the ground..you can speed this up by having your follower pick up the stuff again. Only pick it up with your character to "close" the glitch. Once you have a desired amount select trade some things or whatever and you'll have more than originally dropped..depending on how many iterations you decided to do
Kill that first dragon and you get lydia and thane status. I suggest buying the house in whiterun or answering the letter from falkreath and building your home (lakeview manor) you will need it
red sonic not like it's that good of stats anyhow. I have my set on a mannequin in my home at the lake. And the swords in display case. Kinda worried of getting disarmed and loosing it.
