It's always seemed weird to me that the player character could just casually become the champion of every prince at once and none of them seemed to care.
I agree, it was also my favorite, buy what bothered me about it was how weak that is was.. bothered me greatly, lol. I mean, like, a weapon like that SHOULD be stronger than what it is, right? Lol
@@warpcore9681 Oh yeah, that feature of clonking the Necro-Nord and his spirit form makes him drop a duplicate that his human form would use is he was tapped out of magicka. As terrifying as his ice brigade is, a few light swipe and INSTANT decapitation of the player?! This guy is Ebony Warrior or ABOVE?!
My list of Deadric Artifacts: 10. Ebony Mail 9. Sanguine Rose 8. Ring of Hircine 7. Azura Star 6. Goldbrand 5. Ring of Khajiiti 4. Skeleton Key 3. Skull of Corruption 2. Wabbajack 1. Oghma Infinium
@@anafu-sankanashi8933 It’s technically considered an Easter egg and is a MUCH greater version of Goldbrand, but I still consider it part of the lore. It’s insanely difficult to get (I’ve only done it twice because it’s such a pain in the ass to go through everything). elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Eltonbrand
Ok, lets be honest guys... we used and ABUSED the Dawnbreaker in every Undead Dungeon or Quest, specially in Dawnguard. PD: I wish they made a Quest in which you teleport to the Necromancer's Moon Plane and kill(or join) Mannimarco with Dawnbreaker by Meridia's orders.
my problem with the weapon is that the explosion sends every piece of loose loot flying over half the dungeon... sometimes even clipping out of reach, which is especially frustrating when it comes to certain quest items (like those bottles you need for that one dragon priest, or the optional golden ship in the TG questline)
@@staren1991 Yeah bro, I remember the time I fought Othar(My first Dragon Priest). I killed the Drauger and there was an explosion. After 5 minutes I found the Second Skull of Othar's coufin in the other side of the room 😂.
@@Kainlarsen Not in the vanilla game, no. According to the lore, Umbra was destroyed sometime in the two hundred year span between the events of Oblivion and those of Skyrim. Umbra has been brought to Skyrim through mods, and also through the deplorable 'Kreation Klubb'.
@@HareDeLune Honestly the umbra creation club mod isn't terrible. I just bought a for like 1500 points or whatever the fuck and I got some pretty dope shit. There is only like a handful of cool shit on there but the madness pack is hands down the best. Especially if you've played shivering isles. One of the best armor mods on it own is the spell knight armor
@@RecordedMercury Thank you for the advice, but I for one categorically refuse to support the idea of microtransactions in games. I find the 'Kreation Klubb' to be a horrid and deplorable monstrosity completely beneath my attention. It saddens me that more people don't feel the same way about it, but that's the way life is.
Evan, my good man! There is another sacred artifact most storied, sacred, and BLESSED in its infinite power and temptation! This SCINTILLATING talisman hath been dubbed, by American civilization, in all its glory: "thee vagina"! I cannot be certain, but it has been known 2 bring more delight than even Elder scrolls RU-vid videos...it's close, though, old sport!
@@morrigankasa570 you shouldn't need this explained to you but we're all aware of how insane the crafting triangle of a decade old game is. Scott is clearly just sharing his preference as far as unique weapons go lol
@@Stryker1297 I respect his opinion just stating my opinion. Also I've talked with others and read comments in some other Skyrim videos that apparently some players totally missed things cause they don't care for grinding.
I would dare to say that the black books are the most powerful artifacts in the hands of mortals like Vivec and Sotha Sil with great minds, but maybe they're already too power to fully experience limitations. The small glimpses of the black books we've seen show the greatest knowledge of the universe. Just imagine if a reader fully reads the books. Talos would have a rival.
Hearing the description of the skeleton key makes me want a game that focusses more on it. I can see a leveling system based on using it to unlock stats and abilities. A big part of the game being focused on opening portals and altering abilities and thoughts of people around you.
I always interpreted that the Masque of Clavicus wasn't a "mask" as you'd previously pointed out, but rather a "trait" given for a temporary time (which explains why others don't comment on the users wearing or using of the artifact). Though a physical item in-game would then be needed cause, well it's a meant to be a quest reward at the end of the day, so they made the mask we now know?
My subjective favorite has to be Dawnbreaker due to it being the first one I ever got and also my first build ever was a holy battle mage and I had so much using to the end of my play through. Also it’s really not bad either.
Good list. My personal favorites though have to be Goldbrand, Bow Of Shadows, Dawnblade, Mehrune's Razor and Ring of Khajiiti. This video make me wish you guys would do a video on some other artifacts like Scourge.
One of the problems in Skyrim is that it's very easy to make far stronger items with just a little time learning how to forge and enchant (and that's before mods).
I started playing skyrim a few years ago and probably spended 100s of hours on ot but i love oblivion and started playing it since last year and i love the story and how it feels like i actually earned my weapons even the sword of jygalag. My favourite deadr8c artifact is almost certainly the grey cowel because of the story involed in to getting it and the awesome abilty it grants.
Mehrunes' Razor is in ESO completely assembled. During the dungeon "City of Ash II" you'll encounter a female Bosmer, Gilraen, who was stranded in the Deadlands for a while. She says she stole something from it. And if you check her hip, you'll see Mehrunes' Razor hanging from it!
I know this is a late comment for me to make, but how is ESO these days? I started playing it with a friend of mine right after the Morrowind DLC, but when she quit, I quit. Is it worth getting back into? I remember some of the DLC dungeons being very difficult, and I am not sure if I would enjoy that.
@@RedSpade37 ESO is a bit bland these days. The last two story chapters have been received rather poorly (Greymoor and Blackwood). If you quit after Morrowind, you missed Summerset, however, which is really good and largely regarded the best DLC. Elsweyr is okay, and great if you like cats. I would recommend playing these two. You could try Greymoor, it's free, anyway. Don't pay for Blackwood, though!
@@RestlessRebel Depends on weather he thinks you just have his mace or you are his champion, If he thought you just had the mace, he might think he has a better claim to it because he is a Vampire Lord
I wonder how the Oblivion Walker achievement could work, lore-wise? Since you will be the champion of all Daedric princes (except for Jyggalag and possibly Nocturnal), some of whom hate each other? I made my Dunmer character over a year ago just to make an "evil" character and who would get all the Daedric artifacts (yes, I'm late, started playing in 2016), only to be sucked into Dunmer lore and now I don't feel comfortable with him getting about 73% of those artifacts...
#1 Scourge. Never appeared in any of the games so far, but according to lore (namely the Book of Daedra), it is the only daedric artifact designed *specifically* to slay and combat other daedra, and is even cursed to immediately banish/destroy the wielder if said wielder is another daedra besides Malacath. Malacath's Scourge is to the Elder Scrolls what the Crucible is to Doom.
Hey fudgemuppet I love all of ur builds and have seen so many of them but being on PS4 mods aren’t very good so I was wondering if u could make a knight/crusader build for vanilla that focuses on melee combat over magic. Like so they can see
People under estimate the True Power of the Skull Of Corruption once you developed the proper rhythm to attack the attack speed is absolutely insane . You can demolish any target essentially before they near you.
I’d really love a return of Mankar Camoran. Think about it; Umaril returned- yet Camoran died only in Mehrunes plane that he made for him..... would be super cool if he is calling the shots for the thalmor!!!
We become the godhead when using the creation kit.....or really any mod at all, we are in essence altering their universe and then interacting with it.
In no particular order my favorites are- Wabbajack Mask of Clavicus Vile Umbra The Grey Cowl Ebony Blade Spellbreaker Goldbrand- but upgraded with Eltonbrand The Black books (Hermaeus Mora) Skeleton Key Dawnbreaker Close runner up- Skull of Corruption- only because of sheer mind-f*ck it must be for your opponent to face of against an evil version of themselves.
@@morrigankasa570 sorry but artifacts that have a cool aesthetic but a really terrible effect, get ranked lower for me. Spellbreaker gets the 3rd spot because, it's got a cool aesthetic AND it's got a cool effect, but the lore behind it is absolutely amazing. I recommend reading up on Spellbreaker's lore
this made me ghost look at the ones from oblivion. all i gotta say is i hope ES6 has actually stats and negatives bro pls just make me think if i wanna wear something (looking at you oblivion necromancer amulet) oh and spell crafting!! i want my spells back
It feels like Clavicus Vile works with or for the Ideal Masters because of that Umbra Sword. Don't all souls that get absorbed into Soul Gems go to the Soul Cairn?
The cowl of nocturnal never worked for me, I comited a crime with the mask on, ran off, put it down in private, fast-traveled to any city without it on, STOP ! YOU VIOLATED THE LAW ! 5000 septims fine, for stealing a bottle of wine ...
If you're talking in terms of straight up lore my #1 has to be wabbajack. But in terms of game play the most useful is the skeleton key. For skyrim of course.
