Warning about The People of Skyrim: it's incompatible with almost every world-editing mod. You can't use it with Enhanced Landscapes, SFO, Verdant, or any grass mod in fact. The author doesn't want to make patches, so he leaves the patches to the mod authors of those mods. Unfortunately, most mod authors have gone silent at this point or haven't payed attention to TPOS, there's little to no patchwork for this mod so despite the author's compatibility claims, be prepared to have a lot of conflicts. Kind of false advertising if you ask me... The mod is compatible, if you don't use any mods that edit the exterior world... seems pretty compatible to me -_-
+Frederick X. Obviously its incompatible with EL. But its absolutely fine with SFO and Verdant or any grass mod in fact ;) So yes please, don't make false statements.
Sinitar Gaming not compatible with Verdant (or any grass mod for that matter) the plants bleed into the towns and settlement edits. SFO is interfering a lot... I have TPOS loaded after and followed the install step for step. Haven't gotten this mod to function.
Frederick X. There's something to be said here about your complaints. Basically you haven't installed correctly so you are venting your frustrations on a spotlight video. You have missing patches for verdant to stop the grass coming up through other textures. Look around, you'll find it. Meantime, don't play your shortcomings on other ppl.
I do have the patches for verdant in my load order, but they don't fix the issues. The problem is that grass appears in extremely dense patches along roads, but the grass in the field areas is gone (as though it's been moved by a landscape edit). I asked the mod author back when the mod released if he knew of any patches that could fix this, he recommended to use TPOS without any grass mods.

I appreciate that you have such an artistic way of looking at and presenting everything. And it is all so useful. Especially this video! I was super stuck with making a decision about which city mods to use but now I know what I want to do!
JK is very talented indeed. Unfortunately, his mods introduce a performance hit more than I care to bare. I can't place any blame on him though. This is the nature of any mod that makes significant modifications to anything exterior. I still download and endorse all his mods regardless.
@@arielfetters5662 yeah I only have 8GB RAM and running Skyrim SE needs around 7GB xD If I would use 4k textures insted of 1k or 2k, use an ENB, set the script heavy mods to check the scripts more frequenty (have it at around 45 sec. for random encounters etc.) and increase the normal game settings (decreased them a bit in favour of other graphic mods to get a better result in the end) then even upgrading my computer to 16GB RAM wouldnt be enough xD I cant really install more mods right now because I have over 250 mods running in my game and modded nearly anything - took me over a month to get it stable without any crashes but now close to nothing is compatible
This is awesome I just started playing Skyrim about a year ago... And, my PS3 is finally on it's way out and both my gaming PCS are dead 😭 I'm building a new PC hopefully sooner than later... And, it's my first full scratch build 😁 hopefully it can play this with these beautiful mods I bet the game is even better with fixes and beautiful new additions and settings .. Watching this I'm now super excited lol Thank you!
Then again, it's a massive game which is running on it's current engine, which isn't bad but not good, and it was made in 2011. And because it's such a massive game, they thought it was good enough, which it is to me, but of course I use mods 🤣

This and the lack of snow/ice are my biggest pet peeves closely followed by the fact nords started worshipping the nine even though that was never a thing.

It's nice to see you back into showcases video :) I think People of Skyrim might be the best option here if you wanna fill all of Skyrim out. However, I wonder how is compatibility with ICAIO ... to me Immersive Citizien is one of the must have mods to make npcs and towns a bit more interesting.
Thanks for the video Sinitar. A great showcase for a few great city mods. I was always torn between using either JKs, ETAC, or Dawn of Skyrim as they all overlap in some way. One mod may concentrate on only minor villages like Dawnstar etc, and another will do all villages and settlements, and another is major cities only. There was a modder trying to create a patch to allow JK's complete and ETAC Complete to run together, but he has not updated said mod for the latest version of ETAC. I used this with version 13 of ETAC and it was even more wonderful. But now that missjennabee is re-designing ETAC the merging project no doubt will never happen. Back on track: All are all great mods in their own right thought but it is hard to choose. I like to think that ETAC goes for quantity with a few minor decorative touches, and JK's & Dawn of Skyrim go for an aesthetic fee with a few added buildings. In the end I always run ETAC for the minor villages and JK's Skyrim Major Towns Only version for the major towns.
I started playing Skyrim here in 2020 that's like almost 9 years after first release because of my useless old laptop. After getting a good laptop I spent furious amount of time modding it safely without screwing up physics, texture it building. Many times I had to reinstall the game but In the end, I was able to play it again and with mods it which makes it totally unrecognisable and beautiful after doing it Crazy to see that modding is so proactive in Skyrim and how people are active in it.

@Sinitar Gaming, I’ve run Holds with almost no issues, in fact, I’m using more than 200 mods with it. As long as you got Mod Organizer w/Loot, The unofficial patches, and crash fixes you’ll be crash/bug free.
+Alex Blanchard reason of bugs is not in mods, but in Holds. Nod author ignores most of bug reports. I run more then 700 mods myself and my game is stable and bug-free. But Holds is not. Unfortunately. I personally like it pretty much.
Wow, Legendary Cities TES Arena is my cup of tea! Downloading it. I will translate it to spanish as it's available only in german and french (and english, of course). Hope it doesn't feature custom voices, just vanilla voices for immersion purposes in spanish...
what mod changes the roads in the cities such as whiterun? i cant find it anywhere it looks so amazing. i installed all these mods but the roads are the same vanilla
New guy Questions: So between ETaC and TPoSkyrim, which one has more/better new NPCs and quests? Do all of these work with "Interesting NPCs" mods? And which major cities mods do you recommend to go along with them? What about Holds, is it compatible/good? Oh, and are they all for Skyrim SE, or work with it? If you see this. __Edit: Oh! And is there some way to load both new sets of NPCs into one city mod? Do they adapt? Not sure how Skyrim assigns NPCs to different spots, if they're tagged to different assets or named locations, or if their scripts can adapt to a location being modded afterwards, or what (in terms of where they hang out, navigate obstacles, etc.). All new to me.__ I'm going to build a new gaming PC for the first time in twenty years, before long. And I'm excited to play modded Skyrim. I only ever had the vanilla game on 360, which I loved, but that's a looong time ago.
TPOS isn't compatible with any worldspace edits (the mod I guess was intended to be used as a standalone). Dawn of, JK, and ETAC have patches to work with each other. Not sure about TES Arena. Immersive College is pretty much on its own since the other mods (except TPOS) don't touch the college.
There was a time when TPOS worked together with JK Skyrim. I'm really pl;eased of his more ellaborate work though, but I can't bring myself to let go of JK if I want the latest TPOS. So I'm keeping my old "ULTIMATE" version of TPOS for compatability of what I have.
I would give a like but you forgot one that's been out for a while and is as much a city changer as any of these, maybe just a little buggy. Holds - city overhaul, which not only adds to the five major holds but also completely revamps Falkreath and dawnstar with their own world space like the major cities, and overhauls all minor cities. Then it adds in a few villages and redoes some base villages, maybe all of them a bit.

is Jk’s skyrim compatible with “Noble Skyrim Main Cities” ? it’s the xbox version,just where it hits the cities. i wanna be able to use Jk’s Skyrim & still be able to retexture the cities

Any one got ideas how to maintain a steady fps with JK's Skyrim mod? For the most part im fine, but i usually get 5-10fps drops from 60 in cities like riften and solitude with it. Any suggestions on better performance or is this like this for everyone because of all the new meshes and shadows?
@@SinitarG Nice, im only running a 980 and for the most part i prefer my fps over visuals so i dont run anything like enb's for their performance hit. Thus far i've got a good balance between good visuals and a solid 60 fps everywhere, but wanted something to make the cities look a bit newer after the 100th playthrough if ya get me XD. I've got JK's skyrim running in a few of the cities and im getting 60 fps, but Riften seems to be the biggest area where the fps drops (with JK's Skyrim), but i rememeber that always being a bit of a funny area in the original skyrim. I wouldn't mind checking out that guide if you could reply with a link, hopefully ill be able to understand it all cause im not exactly a genious when it comes too modding, just know the basics and been sticking with that for a few years now. Любопытное видео. Но для того что бы оно было более информативным - было бы хорошо показать сцены "до" и "после". То есть наявное - сравнение с ваниллой. Понятно, что после того, как ты посвятил столько времени моддингу, то тебе могло показаться, что все и так смогут разобрать, где заканчивается ванилла и начинаются демонстрируемые моды, но это справедливо далеко не для всех. Так я, к примеру, не играл в скайрим уже года 3-4 и сейчас начинаю планировать подборку модов для нового билда. И мне очень сложно было судить по этому видео, что именно привносит в города тот или иной показанный мод. И так как видео нацелено именно на ознакомление с этими модами, то было бы логично предположить, что многие смотрящие его не будут без сравнительных кадров ориентироватся в различиях. Как вариант, можно было бы после ряда ознакомительных кадров с модами как тут, сделать в конце что-то вроде нарезки статичных панорманых видов, где бы избранные места в городах по очереди отображались сперва в ванилле, а потом и во всех модах, затрагивающий этот город. Ах вот и еще одна идея - в случае, если какие-то из этих модов совместимы друг с другом - было бы классно, если бы ты об этом указывал. Например, совместим ли Dawn of Skyrim (Director's Cut) с Expanded Towns and Cities? И т.д.

I like to use expanded towns and cities for the 4 towns it affects coz the new characters are really cool, I then use holds a city overhaul modular version to update every other city in the game, I then use legendary cities to add the 7 new cities, although you should try each of them out, people of skyrim and jks skyrim are both good replacements for holds, I find people of skyrim to add too much clutter and jks to be slightly unimpactful
JK's Skyrim has a standard (Heavy FPS drop) and Lite (Moderate FPS drop)version, Dawn of Skyrim (Moderate FPS Drop), ETaC (Moderate FPS drop), People of Skyrim (Lite to Moderate FPS drop depending on the location)
When I watch your vids, I get a small window, telling me "channel is under threat". Whats that about? Other than that, thanks for making the vids :) Think, ive seen just about all of them.
These are only meshes changes, as long as your pc isn't crap it won't make a lot of difference for you. Texture and lights/rendering mods are what really bring your GPU to its knees. I play in 2K with an overclocked 1080 and my FPS can go as low as 25-30
For xbox one try (divine cities) along with (divine cities villages), also there is already (jk skyrim), and there is a big sized mod add things to all of skyrim called (the people of skyrim)
Generally you really only want 1 mod that changes cities otherwise could cause crashes. But always read the mod authors notes they will usually tell you what its incompatible with.
So I need help like right now, I downloaded all of JKs mods and I love them but I accidentally deleted them and then went to search for them and they are not there, on Xbox btw

Sinitar Gaming Well, I never experienced any problems with it. Since its modular in Oldrim, just using Falkreath and Dawnstar should be fine. There is just nothing comparable to these two. Also, Galandil is working on an update which he wants to release this year, including many bugfixes. Just for people who read this post, don't want to criticize you :-)
