I looked at the GC2 and the Trackman, but those are completely unaffordable for just wacking balls in your garage. This isn't to bad. After the Launch monitor, just need to set up a screen, projector, and then its like wacking out on the real course. Good fun while having drinks.

I must say if you are looking to take your game to the next level, the sky trak is needed as the most basic unit. I have had mine for over a year and it helps more than any other piece of equipment. @Golfspotlight do you know if they are going to be upgrading any of the software. Maybe they have been and it's so minor I don't notice. Maybe my expectations are wrong. The driving range is by far the best part of the simulator to be able to get instant feedback and try new things has by far improved my game.

It is funny you ask. There are some software upgrades due this Spring, and we have already done an interview showcasing them. Once they go live and everything is available (sometime VERY soon), we will debut that video. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!

Can this product be used commercially?

In theory, any product can have a commercial application. Certainly a complete SkyTrak is a very good value, but it does have performance limitations compared to other more expensive options. These are the things you would need to weigh in making that decision. It is a very good unit, for sure. Thanks for watching!

Do soft, indoor practice balls work with this system?

Since it is using imagery based off the ball flight off the club face, I would expect the best results by using balls that replicate those you play with on the course. Of course you can use any ball, but the more that you can replicate your on course game, the better the experience.

The Launch Monitor is around $2000, but there are often specials. There are other costs possible, like subscriptions and the actual hitting bay you create. That said, it is far less expensive than other professional models.

HeavenReservation $2782 CAD all in with protective case and extended warranty. After $300 Father's Day rebate. Software subscriptions are extra. There is a ton of great info at golfsimulatorforum.com
