@@iameverything6464 time jump glitch works this way: you die, then inmediately reset while continuing, that way you can move around while in title screen and jump a lot of events to, for example, get the godess sword early.

@@iameverything6464 When you play on the title screen with the Back in Time glitch (continue and reset at the same time), you can apply flags in memory from BiT onto a file by starting the file and performing the action. There's a memory addressed assigned to those actions and the game writes to that address but on the map where you're saved, leading to essentially arbitrary flag setting. You can also use statue coordinates in BiT to warp around, a regular Bitwarp is like what he did twice in Lanayru, and for Skyview temple and eldin he did a reverse BiT warp, which uses the file saved coordinates on the map you started your file into in BiT

He did actually, he has it in Eldin. But it just turns out the route works better if the game is completed on a file without the tunic

Same thing with me! I got the game for Christmas and it took me about an hour to get the sword because I just wanted to wander around skyloft and talk to people.

Based. Skyward Sword is probably one of my favorite games of all time, now that I think about it.

Gymnast86 has a couple of videos, but I think the problem with that last bird statue was trying to prevent the platforms from moving in the fight and be able to complete the fight after without a softlock. Also, while we knew how to clip out from the center arena, I don't think it was yet known how to clip out of the Bird Statue area yet. Once those problems were solved, it was time to execute it in a speedrun.

@@NottSaying No, we knew of a way to escape the bird statue area (using a bitwarp though, not this method which was found later). We also knew how to defeat Ghirahim 3, although the strats have changed. What was a roadblock for a while was simply how to reach the bird statue in the first place. There are invisible walls all around, and there's a void plane below the G3 platform. This method of manipulating the platforms was the key to make it all work. Note that this G3 escape trick only really saves 10 minutes over the next best route. In the grand scheme of things the discoveries of Reverse BiTMagic, Faron BiT and then Early Boss Rush were more important.

Only accessible on the Wii as of now, when you die, press continue and a half second after, soft reset the game by either pressing the reset button on the Wii or pressing the home menu and selecting reset

@@stumpy5760 Do you know if it's possible on the WiiU's Wii emulator? My copy is original Wii version, but I only have a WiiU (one of like the 50 ppl that still have one I suppose lmao)
