It can be a down payment on a rental property or some silver coins. $10k worth of silver coins about 1.5 years ago would be worth $20k today. Or that mail box rental money could have totaled more than $10k in a year in the same time. You could sell the property and make an even bigger chunk off the increased property value. I spent $100k on cars before I was 20. Biggest mistake of my life. I could have bought 2 beach condos with the same money. My aunt tried to tell me. She has one in the same condo complex that's worth 4x times that now and makes $1500 per week off of it during peak season.
