I can't believe the clip started off with one of the AI dialog options from Slacks "Absolutely". I wonder if IT said something about "Integrity" or "It's not black and white" or "I'll look in to it" or some random phrase that's suppose to mean something that is actually meaningless.
Taking the oath does not mean they give up their civil rights. Him and his team conducted an illegal search and a "My Bad" isn't good enough of an answer, they need to be reprimanded. This is who we have running the Investigation Unit in the city..... If the are willing to do this to one of their own colleague imagine what they would do to an individual they have no affiliation with.
Slacks constantly cuts corners and absolves all wrongdoing of himself and and others in pd. Unless they interact with Conan or CG then he laser focuses on them and bents the rules to punish them. I would love for there to be a cop that actually just like follow the rules. I know it’s crazy and I’m probably insane but a cop that actually follow SOP’s doesn’t break their own laws actually enforces the law on everyone regardless of who they are Like that would be fun to watch or at least watch characters I enjoy interact with that kind of cop. I’m not talking about a robot OK. I’m talking about a principled police officer who will charge you for all of your stuff but also be a hard ass on other cops so there is a little spice in their rp. And hopefully they’re also not a brain dead moron you don’t understand law at all… like most of the other cops.
Sad truth is, everyone that played that type of cop and was enjoyable to watch, has either left the server or changed to crim. Ziggy, Tessa, and more than I cannot even remember. There was 1 cop who was a real cop and from what I remember, overall had a good cop vibe on the server. Cops in 4.0 seems to get some kind of high or arousal in punishing people in a way that not only affects their character, but the player in real life. Slacks is so cop complacent that rather than do something about it, just talks like he will do something about it until everyone forgets and moves on.
@@TLSPVegeta yeah I think a lot of cops think of it as like a multiplayer match. There’s two teams and there’s a winner and a loser. Not that it’s rp, and winning isn’t the goal and neither is losing. But creating a fun scenario or story. A lot of them just hyper focus on “cop enforce law”, and forget that they’re supposed to be a character that interacts, and that “ being a cop“ is enough of a character. When it isn’t, it’s just an occupation. The example I like to use is Alexis onfire. She’s a mean gruff person that also happens to be a police officer, with an angry tone. But that doesn’t mean she’s not a character. But the thing is she’s not an asshole cop. She is playing a character and I think the best part is it’s obvious she is. A lot of cops just go with like “I’m a regular dude and I talk like a regular dude everything I say is just regular.” There’s no character there. They’re just a cop trying to enforce the laws, and it makes it hard to role-play with that. IMO
Somebody anonymously told me tillys Sim was in a dumpster, we went to the dumpster and found a Sim, so we illegally searched the Sim to find out who it was even though we were told it was tillys.
Dude wants to apologize but then blame her for him illegally going thru her phone. Slacks is useless. How would he feel if another officer was going thru his phone for an investigation against him without telling him as a professional courtesy.
I feel bad for Tilly man she’s in such a hard spot because any push back is seen as an affront to the PD. He’s talking nonsense to justify something that was super fucked up cause he knows he won’t be punished. All the speculations on Tilly meanwhile she’s just a fun character that people want to spend time with.
As an admin he should hold himself to better roleplayer. He seems like the type of guy to watch everyones clips offline. His tell for him lying is always scratching himself
So what is the difference of him doing that and cg doing it if cg did it they will be punished him being a cop and her taking the oath he did does not justify him looking at her phone without permission if he wanted to look at her phone he could have had permission and since she has nothing to hide she would have shown it there would have been no problem
All three of them are awful, and when you got someone like slacks leading this shit is doomed from the start. wonder how long before they read the phones of the people they have cuffed illegally then use that information to conduct their "investigation".
