Take a look into a typical training day at TWS Slalom training in Tenerife. Jump on board with my Go Pro to see how racing looks from my perspective and listen to my breakdown of it.
Thanks to Martin and Leigh for helping out with the filming.

Hi Rytis, I have been looking for a long time...your video is the first ever hands-on about a slalom race. Your comments are invaluable! They are very helpful to get a feeling of what is going on during a race, and what little things make a difference. This is an excellent inspirational video, fantastic!

@@bob2787 Yes, 140 indeed. I only have one usable fin per board at the moment so not much choice haha. So 45.5 Z SL is my fin for the big board.

thanks for the talk-through. I am a beginner, able to do basic stuff close to shore, unable to use a harness or do real tricks. How do you move your feet on each gybe and tack? I would do an indecisive shuffle

Cool content!! One question: Have you ever tried falcon 140 with a foil and if yes is it efficient foiling with that board? Thnx!
@RYTISJAS
@RYTISJAS 4 года назад
Thank you. Yes I have tried. For cruising on halfwind course and downwind slalom it is great. For going upwind (as in course racing) the stance is not comfortable.

@@RYTISJAS thanx for the reply! That gives me already some insight. I won't be using it for races though.. Would you then still recommend buying this board as light wind slalom and foil board? Cheers

This might be a stupid wuestion since im kind of new to windsurfing but wouldnt it be more effective to do duck gybes instead of regular carve gybes since its easier to maintain speed with them?
@RYTISJAS
@RYTISJAS 5 лет назад
Generally duck gybes are more difficult to make in my opinion. I also think that it is almost impossible to change the trajectory of your duck gybe once you start making it and you have to be able to do that in slalom competition.
