Hanamichi Sakuragi used to hate basketball with a passion, to the point that he used his trademark headbutt on anyone who utters the word. (Or anything close to it.)
@@DigiMega351 yeah the episodes of this dub that aren't on streaming services are episodes 15-20...I got 16-20 for five bucks which is a steal considering I can't find the other volumes for a decent price. I believe that this is the best anime dub recorded in Toronto besides Spider Riders and Bakugan (Canadian co-productions) and it's proof that we need more dubs recorded here...Martin Roach is a good Akagi, Rob Tinkler is a good Sakuragi, Scott McCord is a good Rukawa, and getting Chris Earle as the narrator wasn't a bad choice considering his only other VA role was Roger Houston from Rescue Heroes.
@@DigiMega351 side note: Lyon Smith would be a better Seiya than Tim Hamaguchi and Dan Petronijevic would be a better Hyoga than Stuart Stone. Imagine that, giving SS in the 6ix a second chance just as Netflix gave H-Town another shot at SS
@@dcb99filmz Wow, Saint Seiya is my fav Anime! (I adore the uncut dubs BTW.) If Toronto had the ability to dub something Saint Seiya related, I think SS Omega wouldn't be a bad choice.
Not exactly, dude. The English voice-cast only dubbed 85 episodes of "Slam Dunk!", right before they lost the licensing and distribution, or some other kind of crap.
There are two dubs, both are unfinished, the Geneon dub(the one in the video) got 20 episodes released on DVD, but only 14 episodes are available for streaming. Due to abysmal sales, The DVD releases were cancelled after 4 volumes. However, they did record more than 20 episodes. The Casting director Joanne Boreham listed working on 60 episodes of Slam Dunk on her website, and many Toronto-based voice actors listed roles for characters that appear after episode 20 on their resumes, and one of them claims that they recorded a 100 episodes. But unfortunately all of these episodes are now lost media.
