I have rarely seen him in such a great mood doing interviews. He is always nice and respectful, but talking to a peer or rather hero of his, he can totally let go of all tension, just like talking to a buddy. Really great to see! Superb job!
@@mack98ification, must check that out. I found Slash's take on the early days of Motley Crue, as told in his autobiography, really interesting so I reckon any chat between them would be worth the listen.
Yes if you get a chance you should watch it. Easy flow and a please to watch. Nikki was always a good interviewer because he never made it uncomfortable with stupid questions.
@@mack98ification listened to it last night. Thanks for the recommendation it was awesome! Only wish it was longer but otherwise it was great. Nikki totally surprised me though. I never realised I've only ever "read" him; never heard him before and his voice surprises me. He was cool though 👍
Glad you got to hear it! Yes, when I found Sixx Sense, his radio show, I was totally taken by his radio voice. You tube has a lot of other Sixx Sense interviews. They are good. And I agree, the Slash interview could have been longer. I could listen to them all day. Lol.
I love Jonesy's show. Down to earth and funny as at times. Gets people talking their reality so you get something interesting to hear instead of a fake show.
when he was a teenager being their every day self in a band first time on tv & defending themselves against a drunk interviewer Now it's no swearing rule from station he works for it's not his rules ffs he has to keep a job wise up Yankee fools eh! can't wait for the childish replys I get for this trying to prove I'm wrong etc you can't because I'm not hahahaha
*Random stuff* back in the 60's my Mums cousins went to see Eric Clapton Play before he got famous, they got talking to him and he asked if he and a couple of others could get a lift from them up to Manchester where they were playing the night after, as they lived in Oldham near Manchester, as we all still do now, they said yes, they spent the night sleeping on the floor in their house, and i seem to remember one of them said she woke up in the middle of the night and Roger Daltrey was sprawled out on the end of her bed. just another day in the life of my family lol.
Slash is cool, a true rock dude. The guy's worth about 30 million bucks and still wants to play and make records and play the clubs. He doesn't give a shit what anybody says or what they think. He just wants to play. Hats off to you Slash, livin' the life man!
Worth a bit more than that I think 🤔 When you're that successful you can dictate where you want to play. Once you have done huge stadium tours etc I suspect small gigs are better fun and financially not too important?
slash seem s like a really nice guy!!and a fantastic guitar player!!jonesy...really funny on his instagram and also a great guitar player!and i also love the radio show!c mmon kid s!
Dig Steve and as a fellow Brit in recovery respect him addressing our shared obsession for class A drugs and liquor. I'm 20 yrs clean and love how he is honest enough to say its still a struggle for him even though he has more clean time than me. He's a mensch. As we say here in uk he's a diamond geezer. Also a badass gunslinger! Great chemistry with Slash who def respects SJ. It shows bigtime here...
GOOD STUFF SIRS 🤘 been listening to GnR since '87..saw them open for Iron Maiden in toronto after Appetite came out... yes I'm bragging 😜 ....btw the only dudes cooler than Slash (on planet earth) are Jonesy & Keith Richards.... I would kill to see Jonesy interview Keef !! 🎸
In a different Timeline, Slash would've took his place among the Funkadelic masters, carriers-on of Jimi's legacy.Love his solo work and sideline contributions.
I'd love it if he could have Reeves Gabrel and Budgie on the show. Im sure Reeves would have some great anecdotes relating to Bowie and Budgie would be absolutely amazing. Budgie is a massively underrated drummer. I don't think he had any falling out with Steve when he was recording with the Banshees? I know he's said in his book he was never into Siouxsie so nothing went on. One of the the best Banshees tracks, Paradise Place was a Jonesey riff/song. Hugh Cornwell or Jean Jaques Brunel would be 2other great guests
nice interview,so chill.Slash, best definition of Clapton ever, adult note perfect blues. But not that exciting as a kid in the 70s loving punk and the metal breaking out!
I'm not sure vaping can be considered worse than cigarettes, given how many chemicals are in vape liquid vs burned tobacco. But there is ongoing studies on these things so the jury is out...
This is not a complaint or pointed at Slash or Jones, they dont make the rules....Its just a thought: A no swearing rule on radio or tv is absolutely stupid. What is the point?? Words.....they r all combinations of letters that create sounds. How can one b more harmful than another??? Do u know what makes kids want to say these words?? Having them put into a group labeled ‘bad’.....making them infamous. Emulating adults who use these words while telling kids to not do so. Im not suggesting kids or anyone for that matter should curse. Im simply stating the obvious....they r harmless. In 2019, these old traditions feel extremely stale.
Well in a way it is kind of worse. For someone who is a smoker and switches to vaping like myself it's better. However the flavors are so damn good, and smoking has always been trendy with teens, but many teens who wouldn't smoke due to the fact it's disgusting are now vaping, because it's so damn good. So now you have the kids who would probably smoke cigs still smoking and the kids who never would have smoked now are. It seemed we got to a point in society where nicotine use was down across the board for everyone, and with vaping that battles now being lost again. I also seem to constantly be pulling on my vape, even though the point is to start off with high nicotine and eventually wean yourself off. I smoked alot with real cigarettes but seem to be pulling on my vape more than I would smoke cigs. Gives me nicotine overload I haven't felt since I first started smoking as well.
