On Saturday 25th August, the guitar legend Slash, frontman Myles Kennedy and their band The Conspirators played a blistering show at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, and Moshcam was there to exclusively film every second of it.
Aided and abetted by frontman Myles Kennedy and their band The Conspirators (guitarist Frank Sidoris, bassist Todd Kerns and drummer Brent Fitz), the iconic axeman delivered a searing set featuring Guns 'N' Roses classics like 'Sweet Child O' Mine', 'Paradise City' and 'Nightrain', Velvet Revolver's choicest cuts 'Slither' and 'Fall To Pieces' and stand-out Slash moments like 'Halo' and 'You're A Lie' from his new album 'Apocalyptic Love'.

First of all, I love Axl Rose, he's a genius lyricist. But, I think this Slash ft.Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators is the "Guns N' Roses" I really enjoy listen to, because of Slash and (almost) effortless Myles' vocal. And now I really want to listen to this band doing all the songs from the double albums. I know it's not possible, but I really do wish it's do-able.

Myles has an awesome voice so does Todd Kern's! Slash has a good voice whenever he actually sings! He fools ppl with his shyness!! Very talented person, he draws, writes songs, plays guitars! And of course hides behind the Top hat n glasses!!

Axle. All the boze and drugs caught up with his it's sad once was powerful and slash's from the 80's has improved so much just picture this now if axle was top of his game and slash ripping solos like this it's overwhelming to think of but it will be never be possible

One of the best solos from Slash I've ever heard, with funky rhythm parts and fast parts + the original slide solo that sounds great. No shredding/tapping, technically he may not be the best player but this is so much better to listen to. Fucking awesome !!

I think Slash is one of the very best because he plays with feel and melody. It doesn't have to be technical, and he's played some of the greatest lead guitar parts of all time! :)

Its still not as high of an octave during prime Axle years. Axl has one of the most longest octave ranges of all time. I believe it's 5 1/2. Same as Mariah Carey to put in in prospective✌

As a teenager I worshipped GnR and Axl Rose like a religion but in all honesty this might be better than the old GnR has ever been. Such a pleasure to see Slash in such a great shape.

The old GnR produced way better material, and they had that superior rock n roll vibe. Myles is technically a better vocalist compared to Axl, but his stage presence is not as good. but as you’ve said, this is actually better than lots of GnR performances.

Dear god! RIP!!!! that poor guitar... Slash fucking KILLED IT before the change up about 7:51 mark after beating the shit out of it for over 5 minutes straight starting at 2:30. I've never seen anything like it in my life! He then finally goes back to the actual song a few moments after that but continues to smash it with unimaginable energy. I must say this is a very good performance all the way around - this guy does a good Axl voice for sure! Poor Axl can't do it like this anymore. Although he was better in his day... hehe He had a chance to really show his shit for the wailing and tried to give half of the best part to the audience, you can tell he can't handle it! He even chickens out the last wailing with a "That's right!". He is definitely impressive none the less.

THIS is the best live version of Rocket Queen of all time !!!! Slash showing how evolved as a musician since his departure from Guns; his band is very close-knit, and Myles can not be AXL, but despite his stage presence, his vocal performance is simply amazing ...

The thing that makes this performance of Rocket Queen so good to me isn't Myles singing. It isn't even how amazing Slash sounds here. It's not the extended solo section with all the effects and coolness. It's fucking Brent Fitz. He NAILS that swung/behind the beat groove that Steven Adler played with on the Appetite album. This song (nor ANY of the Appetite songs) sound right to my ears when the drummer is perfectly on top of the beat. As a drummer, I can tell you Adler's "sloppiness" and off timings weren't a mistake, but a stylistic choice. One that worked perfectly for the dirty sound of the album. And Brent understands that so well! (I could name a dozen drummers, let alone Ferrer who have just totally ruined this and other Appetite tracks for me.)
