We have to give Slash lots of credit. Most rockbands/artists from the 80's/90's haven't produced anything worth listening in a while, milking their old hits or are just busy with their reality-tv shows, trashtalking on former bandmates or emberassing themselfs on stage.Slash got his shit together, cleaned & sobered up,practised his guitar playing, found talented new musicians to work with and is making quality records & playing his arse off.
putting out a new album out every 2 years since since 2010, he's been real productive. I think these 3 "solo" albums outshine anything from Snakepit or VR with the exception of a couple songs
Also, most artists/rockbands from the 80's/90's don't have the privilege to work with THE MAN Myles Kennedy. He's done a lot of good things to Slash's Artistry. This man and his band, Alter Bridge, are the hardest fuckin' worker in the business.
@@ashdravencrow6328 What does it matter if he is near Axl? He is still a good vocalist tho. But it is also about passion for the music and as I can see he does it with his heart. So yeah lets not compare people to eachother and just enjoy the music ;)
@@ashdravencrow6328 way better than Axl. Not even close. Axl was decent rock vocalist for about 3 yrs of his career. Good scream; shit tone. MK has great range - clean or with grit. Still going strong as ever at over 50 yrs old💪
I love both GNR and Alter Bridge, but I hope this guys come back together again. The Conspirators is the best things that happened in music world since the 2000's.
Woke up this morning all alone I got a ringing in my head I couldn't take it anymore today She left me here for dead Ohh Woah yeah yeah... And it should come as no surprise I shoulda known it form the start The lights are faded and I can't deny This place ain't got no heart Oh if you can hear me tonight If you can hear me tonight You'll have to carry me back from Cali I'm tired and broken and I lost my way You'll have to carry me back to where I belong You'll have to carry me back from Cali I don't want money, I don't need no fame You'll have to carry me back to where I belong I got to leave this angel city But I can't do it by myself So if you please, mama, can you save me Before I blow this life to hell Ooooooo Mama, grab me by the feet and just drag me home You'll have to carry me back from Cali I don't care if you think I'm to blame You'll have to carry me back to where I belong You'll have to carry me back from Cali The angel city where the devils play You'll have to carry me back to where I belong Yeah... If you can hear me tonight (x4) I've lost my way, I'm so alone And all I want is to come home.
You don't hear too many voices like myles in music anymore. Men sing so low now days and dont carry much range. Myles is also one of the few who sing the same tones as the album every time.
There is an acoustic album from a special Best Buy release of Apocalyptic Love. It has the original album, the acoustic Guitar Sessions which includes this song, and a live concert DVD. You will have to hunt for it but it's worth it.
I just noticed that Myles got his chorus lyrics switched up early in the song, and was thinking, "carry me back to where I belong" when he said, "carry, me back to Cali". lol, either that or he was thinking of some Beastie Boys, haha.
I would have loved to have heard axl sing PROMISE on this last tour they did. that would have been awesome. i made a vid of me covering Promise acoustically...sounds like axl singing it during the chorus. my fave song to sing ever!
Sober slash, no distorsion slash, i prefer when it's not so clean and he goes impro mode even when it's a bit messy somtimes you can tell he got the thrill. Here ? not sure...
Go back to Cardi B then. Who cares for your factless opinion? I’ll trust my own ears if you don’t think Slash knows a good lead singer for his band when he hears one?
