While Avenged is my favourite band. Shads is probably my favourite vocalists of all time, I actually quite enjoy this version. Not the same as Shadows, no but the way Myles' voice sounds over this is a great different take on it. But yeah, not the same, Matt's voice is great in a different way from Myles for sure. Both versions have their spot in my heart lol
Myles Kennedy doesn`t use lot of screaming kind of voice (sorry, I'm brazilian and I don't know the right word to describe Shadows voice), so you're right. The same way that if M Shadows sang Blackbird I think he probably wouldn't sound as good as Myles does.
Why is everyone here shitting on myles vocals?he did a great job..i am a very big fan of a7x and i know he can't reach the tone of m shadows voice but he didn't do bad...give the guy some credit ffs
I honestly prefer the original over this, but I do really like Myles's take on the song. Not saying this because I'm an A7X fan, but the way M Shadows sings it on the album fits it better since it's the most metal track off that record.
@@BlackMaria well he can definitely play thrash now Coz he's gotten so better then before.. Nowadays you can see slash use alternate picking and all which means he is working hard on the technical side of playing too.. Before he was a kind of blues, hard rock player but now he can shred those metal licks too ...
Lol, people saying Shadows sings higher than Myles. Sounds like ignorance of not knowing different techniques of the voice. Screaming is different than Mixed Voice. Both use a lot of compression too. Think we can appreciate both singers in their own style. No need to be fanboys of one or the other.

This is why Myles and Slash are such a good combo. Axl Rose can't even compete with Myles vocally. Axl isn't even worth the sweat on Myles or Slash's sack.
Are u nuts?? Axl is an amazing singer, maybe he's not what he used to be now but in the 1980 to 2010 he was untouchable, and even myles would agree with that
I personally think myles vocals only sound good with his own songs. I don't like his voice when he covers over bands/songs. I was hoping this one would be different.
