Yeah, because being a guitarplayer is very different from being a composer on the guitar ;) Line up 20 of those including yourself and come up with a melody like this. Then use it as a base to establish the right pace of the the overall piece by combining both simple phrases as well as complicated runs while maintaining the interest of a listener for three and a half minutes without becoming repetitive, monotonous by underplaying or create fatigue by overplaying. In short create a musical piece that relies only on your ability to lead and keep the listener interested purely on your phrasing skills. No vocals, no drum or bass solo's, no breaks, no tempo changes.. You're a joke mate..
@@Frostensen Ha. I think he's underrated, b/c as much as people love him, so many uneducated and ignorant people think he's an "average" player and that Slash's guitar work never ventured beyond pentatonic scales and that he sucks technically b/c he doesn't shred like Vai. Not only is that a complete fallacy, but this song right here moves me 10x more than just about anything I've ever heard from Vai or Eric Johnson or the giant crew of G3 Guitar waking douchebags...I like Vai and Satch personally, they are cool dudes and can play the hell out of their shit, but for me, no dive bombs needed, no tapping, or other frivolous bullshit, just meaty hooks, beautiful phrasing, and impeccable and articulate notes.
