when I saw this live it was the first time they'd played it live and they kinda screwed up a bit but this is sick man!. When I say they screwed up the drummer lost it a bit but yeh still da best! LOVE SLASH!!
If you listen to more of Slash's improvisation his playing is technical in the fact he is using the chromatic scale most of the time, but using it wisely adding notes that are unique to him. Most other guitarist don't. Slash rarely stays within the set scale. When you say 'memorized'- he has set licks that he uses regularly but what guitarist doesn't, I would argue every guitarist does. Also its tiring for you to listen to it, not for the majority'. Make sure you know what your talking about.
