There are also some brilliant scenes where Wren says something and everyone ignores him. One of my favourites is the scene where that one bald guy interrogates everyone. Wren just sits there and goes of and criticizes the guy while he just sits there. Then the killer comes in. Bald guy acknowledges her, ignoring Wren completely. Wren just leaves and she sits down
I was so happy this twist took me by surprise because for awhile I was getting PISSED that Wren was such an obvious candidate to be the killer yet no one was really pressing him. I honestly didn’t notice they weren’t talking to him AT ALL lol
I had to go a rewatch a lot of the scenes. I feel so dumb. However, I did wonder why he was patching his hand up in Judith’s room after the Glen attack. Like he was waiting for her to come help him? And how Glen didn’t acknowledge the getting rid of Wren when he said ‘One vegan b-tch down, one to go’. Cause it was just the two of them there. She hallucinated Wren going outside. Even how Wren always stayed with Judith when they split up. Cause, he doesn’t actually exist to help with building an SOS or look for Noah. So well done. Renee could have been like ‘Who the hell is Wren?’ When she was being strangled though? Guess she didn’t hear her screaming out ‘Wren’?
I really thought Andi was going to be the final girl; thus, I was so shocked when they killed her in the first episode! Really set an amazing tone for the season. My favorite kill is Susan's since it has a deep meaning and connection to what she did 5 years prior. However, I really wanted her to live. Such a clever season, and show overall.
Yes I thought andi was gonna survive too or that Asian looking girl. That show is so unpredictable, literally everyone can die. I never thought in a million years that the blonde woman survived
I really love that the killer's costume gets more bloodied as the show went on. It starts out as clean and then it just goes full bloody. I know it might seem logical but in slashers it is common that the killer always looks the same despite always chillin and killin so this was a good detail in completing a killer attire.
I like how it got bloody too though the killers outfit is just basic, something that anyone would wear honestly, I like the executioner outfit from season 1 and because the killer wears eyeshadow, my most favorite outfit is the killer from season 3 because of the blue neon mask, and I like the killers outfit in season 4 kinda fancy with a top hat
I also loved that detail. It also shows complete disconnect from reality when it comes to the killer's mindset. The killer chooses to put on this outfit every time. It's a great way to show how, beyond any kind of normalcy they are
i'm still thinking that noah's fate was by far the worst - after getting raped twice (though the second time wasn't shown directly), he survived his transformation into a human torch waay too long, i really felt bad for him, and no, the flashbacks about him didn't change my mind. it's a bit like with theon greyjoy - he may have been a jerk, but he didn't deserve what has been done to him 🙄
There were 16 kills in Slasher: Guilty Party, with 8 of them being male and 8 being female, giving us an even gender pie chart. With a total of 8 episodes, that gives us an average of two kills per episode Golden Chainsaw for coolest kill has a number of options, but I’ll give it to Antione. Chainsaws and eye gougings are cool, but there’s something really unique in using a snow drill to blend someone’s insides. Plus, that’s gotta be a terrible way to go Dull Machete also has a few kills to choose from, but Imma give it to Megan because her character had no real reason to exist, and she died by food poisoning. That’s no fun
I don't know about you, but for me, Dawn is so far the best final girl on this show, she is shown as a hateful character and without feelings, but in the end you manage to understand why she is like that. She only wanted to have people who loved her but instead they treated her very badly and this made her become a selfish person before others, at the end of this season we can see a good development that makes her a better person
Better? Yes. But I don't think there is any redemption for murder and incriminating an innocent person for it. She made progress but is still an evil person who will justly be likely served a life sentence for murder.
@@ositofazbear3197 Aha thanks! Yes Beck is beautiful. That's why she's the best character in that show and not mr creepy bookstore owner. Love is cool too though imo, I find I'm the only person who likes Beck AND Love. . Yeah whether or not murderous people can achieve redemption is a very subjective topic. I don't see it happening but I get that others probably do. . What do you think of the other characters?
I absolutely loved Judith's reveal. The entire season was really good! The kills were brutal (as usual) and the cast were great in their roles! Judith's reveal hit me harder than a truck in the snow. I was confused at first when it hinted at her being wren, but it was so cool and shocking to see first hand how the story was all this time
I was think that too, or waiting for the gun to *click*. Maybe, the writers thought it would be obvious that Dawn brought more bullets and they reloaded it once they used the gun as a team.
@@anewszn6914 That bcoz it all explained in that letter that he sent to Tal's parents which read out loud in the climax *HE WRITTEN THAT THEY'LL COME BACK THERE TO PAY WHAT THEY DID 5 YRS BEFORE* so his suicide was intentionally did all by himself, not like halfway of forcefully done
@@adzzkim I agree. I think he was going to send the letter regardless of how the trip went. And possibly kill himself anyways. He wanted to go to police from Ep 1. When asked by Andi and Keira how his life is gonna go after this was all over, he just said he would pay for what he did. He didn’t have another plan. He either knew he was gonna be in prison or kill himself.
When you think about it these guy's aren't good people at all, lure the girl into the woods, attempted rape, committed murder, hid the body, blamed it on the mother's son, the son got arrested and committed suicide because he was innocent and got blamed for the murder, the mom goes apeshit and starts killing, the the main characters thought they could live a happy life after that, damn I really liked this season, though the killers outfit it just some casual outfit anyone would wear but it's realistic instead of wearing a costume from a Halloween store or a home-made costume
(Flashback) Honestly Peter in my opinion is like the only one that ain’t a piece a shit or in the least in the group he wasn’t really down how they were gonna leave her by her self out in the middle nowhere at night even when he’s about to leave he was still conflicted about leaving her there and when tal threatened to blackmail the 3 girls if they leave her and so they changed their minds decided to bring her back and Peter felt relieved but but Noah was piss that they changed their minds and told tal that she has nothing him witch is true but tal unnecessarily provoke him cause him to attempt to rape her in which all of them was just standing there watching by but Peter was the only one who help out stopped him and peter with the girls chase after her after she ran away and also when she was still alive he was the only one that was willing to take her to the hospital, but the rest of them stop him by force and restrain him while they killed her the only 2 things he did that were messed up was hide her body and sit by and let them pinned murder on Owen someone innocent and after that at some point, he was going to turn himself in and confessed after the trip and tried to convince others to do the same but they didn’t want but he was still gonna do it ether way I feel like he didn’t deserve to die but turn himself in while the other was fair if they got killed because of what they did but I guess the consequences of his actions got the best of him
i love how every killer has a method to their madness. s2 the killer really took their time and was slow af making sure that the counselors died slow and painfull, but they killed the commune folks pretty quickly and brutally overkill so they don't suffer too much. s3 they killer was fast to kill as many people as possible except for that one kill with the live dissection. it really capture the essence and brutal impulsiveness of teen and social justice. s4 the gentleman loves to take their time, they love gore so they mutilate the bodies as much as possible. despite having the medical knowledge, experience and game equipment to swiftly kill everyone quickly. the other killers killed with a motive and mostly killed for vengence. this killer kills because they're a sick sadistic fuck, they kill because they get pure adulterated sexual pleasure from it.
This show had the best twist put of all 3 seasons, and quite frankly they screwed Peter over , he had several opportunities to free and attack Judith by taking the gun and He didn't kill talvien (or whatever her name is) , which makes it tragic because out of all of them he cared and felt bad the most
Yup..but He's not that smart unfortunately 😭 Judith is one bitch who should go the hell. She kills innocent people too. And what? Acting like this is all not her fault? Its wren? For God sake
@@chocobiechocolate1478 the fact that people also say that they are ""innocent"" while its literally the truth. Maybe they fucked up. But killing is not a good option. You should just mess them up in jail. But she still continued killing alot of people.
Honestly Peter could've killed Judith or at least tried to, but I feel like he wanted to die since he felt the most guilty about Tal & Owen (he suggested to go to the police in ep 1 first). Also he probably didn't want to risk Kiera's life if Judith managed to get the upper hand on him
It is true that Judith appearance is very weird.. especially for Suzan’s death, i mean : where the fuck does she find a sting to make her fall asleep, how did she manage to get out of the house in the middle of the night to go and kill suzan, and when she comes back as well ? Her costume covered in blood, where does she hide it everytime lol
I think in her mind Wren was not her son. Like she forgot about Owen completely, but saw him as another commune member. A complete different person that she eventually loved romantically? That or her and Owen had an odd relationship before he was arrested. 😅
@@bab37ful Thats why almost all horror shows are being put on shudder, most people using Netflix don’t care for horror since it’s not what they specialize in. It’s the right move for horror shows to be on the best up and coming horror platform
This was my absolute favorite season for sure. Even with its flaws, it was such a good season! I especially enjoyed 0:44 as that is certainly the dull side of the knife.
It drove me crazy throughout the series that they kept mentioning Owen but never showed him in flashbacks. It wasn't until they deliberately hid him from view during a flashback with Talvinder that it clicked for me that he was among them in the cabin and it got obvious that no one was talking to Wren except Judith. Very clever twist! As for the deaths, they all deserved it except Megan. But Peter's was so sad. Good series and amazing cast. 👏
@Brandon Warner she showed many more signs than season 1 or 3s killers. Her breakdown when the old group is introduced to the new group, her talking to someone who (very obviously) didn't exist. Once you realized Ren wasn't real which for me was probably episode 2 or 3 you know the only person who can be the killer is Judith.
The irony about Susan's death is that before she left the cabin she said she hoped Dawn was next to die only for it to be her and only for Dawn to be the final girl of the counselors Also funny how Dawn is the only one who guessed that Judith was the killer Judith needs to be locked away in some asylum she is a danger 💀
She's going to be, cause even though Judith says that she's going to kill Dawn when she gets out of prison, they got the dirt on her. She'll be in an asylum psyche ward by the time Dawn gets out .
I like the plot twist they went with but what if Talvinder was revealed to be the killer to get revenge? What if she never actually died and the body that was "hers" was someone else that she used to keep them believing she was dead?
Nah the plot twist and the end was poorly handled as well to the point where it ruined the season for me. I can explain if you want. S3 and s1 were good except for the last episode of S1 which was unneeded.
@@therealwiseguy3747 Then the have to rewrite the whole story and remove the scene where the bash her brains in. Trust me it sounds good in your head, but I personally and respectfully dont think it would work. Also there’s plenty I’ll just get into some of my issues with season 2 after class aight
IDGAFF what people say in my opinion this was the best season (haven't seen 4 yet) and best killer. I love how this season is like a mixture of Friday the 13th and I Know What You Did Last Summer with a dash of Psycho. Of course it's not perfect but it's a tv show.
I didn’t really like this season because EVERY character was a scumbag. It was hard to watch and all the characters did stupid things that made me mad.
I actually liked most characters. Noah, Andy, Mark were my top 3. Having a past makes us human. No one was evil besides *spoiler* Judith and Benny. The rest just made mistakes.
@@gin.gefilms Noah and Ani murdered Talvinder. And Noah tried to rape her. They were evil too. . The only characters who were nice people were Renee, Mark, Keira, Gene, Megan and Janice.
The ending really made me think , Judith had a split personality where she romanticized her son , and it lead her to go crazy and kill everyone . But I wondered was wren a fake fictional character brought to life by Judith, as I recall he never had any talking scene or was called by name
Well Talivander, I guess that's what you get when you wanna live a "Friends" lifestyle lol that was her REAL crime😂😭😂 (I liked this one but Solstice has been my fave so far...and I love seeing the different actors pop up in different seasons as different characters- that's so clever and pretty cool, the sign of great acting)
I had to go a rewatch a lot of the scenes. I feel so dumb. However, I did wonder why Wren was patching his hand up in Judith’s room after the Glen attack. Like he was waiting for her to come help him? And how Glen didn’t acknowledge the getting rid of Wren when he said ‘One vegan b-tch down, one to go’. Cause it was just the two of them there. Renee could have been like ‘Who the hell is Wren?’ When she was being strangled though? Guess she didn’t hear her screaming out ‘Wren’?
Golden Chainsaw: Antoine (Andi, Gene, Renee's kills are all good contenders) Dull Machete: Gene's Girlfriend (Noah could have won, too much suffering Susan, I wanted the finish to be bigger)
After what I learned about what Noah did to Talivander I didn’t feel so bad for him anymore. I’ll agree that the rape scene was brutal, but I consider it karma for what Noah did to the girl. Yes, she made him look like an idiot and she used him, but that is NOT an excuse to assault someone. I don’t care that he might’ve felt bad after, he would’ve raped her if someone didn’t literally pull him off. Again, not defending Benny because he did murder a dude and rape is bad in any situation. But I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I feel bad for a potential rapist. Call me sick, I don’t care.
Noah was the only character I liked and when I saw that I was so done with this show I would like to headcannon it to be Noah changed over the years or that it didn't happen but I'm just done I hate this show or at least this season 😒
@@Celebi50 He got what was coming to him, I’m not gonna feel bad for a potential rapist for getting his karma. I’ll save my well wishes for actual helpless victims.
Noah and Susan’s were brutal too. Renee’s was probably drawn out as well. I thought Antione and Gene would have died or at least pass out faster than they did due to blood loss.
Who do you think had it worse? Out of the three most brutal imo, are Susan, Talvinder (but she deserved it), or Renee, I’m not sure but I’d have to say Susan
Honestly although talvinder was a conniving little bitch she didn’t deserve to die. Her death was so brutal and you really have to give that up to the acting. When they took turns bashing her skull with that rock it was cringeee. She really suffered
@@jesusplascencia8984 ofc but would u kill ur friend bc she messed with ur boyfriend? I didnt think so. And why the hell wasn't Ani mad at her boyfriend, i don't get it. Ofc she deserves some kinda punishment but beated to death with a rock is too much lol.
My only thing with the gene kill is she was Cleary throwing snow balls from below how did she get up stairs so fast to be waiting when he opened the door
They aren't all the same person. The masked person is different than the guy who smashed the guy into the truck and the guy who shot the woman who was a table with Mark.
Ngl I was kinda expecting Noah to survive 1 or 2 more people dying before he ultimately died of his burns. Noah escaped death so much and would’ve been hilarious if he survived 1 or 2 more people. Like why did they decide to keep him alive anyway he just died next and it added nothing to the story. Like they should’ve killed Renee and mark before finishing Noah off and then Peter, Kiera and Dawn surviving like normal. I also feel like they got rid of the 5 friends too quickly. Andi and Susan died in the first 2 episodes. Noah was suffering from hypothermia and injuries form his benny encounter the whole series and had a whole episode of him dying on a table. Peter and Dawn were well fleshed out characters though which was good.
what i still dont get it.. owen wrote letter to his mom before he hang himself.. he say five of them peter noah susan andi dawn is the killer of talvinder.. how owen know?
Don't forget Owen was working there just like the rest, so he had access to the whole camp also, so he probably saw Talivinder who he was obsessed with hanging out with them and all of a sudden she goes missing and they are okay, not to mention the guilty looks they were given him as he was being escorted to the police car.
Me too. Like she was the least guilty. She did not want to kill Tal, and she left as soon as they discussed not going to the police and getting her help. She was only one who had a kid too 😬 Loved the character development and actress of Dawn though 👌🏻
Not really, Peter only cheated on Andi with talvinder. Noah attempted to rape and was one who finished talvinder. I think theirs a huge difference between how bad their situations are
@@platinumpen648 Peter was an accomplice even if he didn’t actually do anything to Talvinder and tried to get them to stop though he eventually gave up. And he helped frame an innocent guy who eventually hanged himself.
I love how the group was prepared to murder a girl but rape was still a no no for them. 😂 really goes to show just how dumb we could be sometimes if put into the same situation lol
I mean... they weren't at that point going to kill her, they were only going to kill her once they had accepted her (accidental) death.. she just happened to actually be alive. Rape is worse tbh, murder is over and done with but rape is violation you have to live with.
Cause they were scared for themselves and their future instead of Tal. Granted, Susan and Peter were against killing her.l after she woke up. They just went along covering it up after the other three made sure she was dead.
when you think about out of all the people who died at that cabin only 3 were truly innocent the hiker, the dude that got the post hole digger, and maybe the first guy. not good with names the rest have either killed someone or had their hands in some type of injustice.
That depends on what you think of Keira’s. Someone died under watch, but it was an honest mistake that she owned up to. Not the 5 counselors who didn’t get Tal help, Renee, Glen, and Antione(snow drill) cause he hid a dead body instead of calling the cops. To me the complete innocent ones were Gene (first guy), the hiker, Gene’s girlfriend, Mark, and Keira. 👌🏻
@@sandravacca5464 the innocent ones in my opinion are Gene, Megan, Janice, Kiera & I guess mark but he was a bit scummy towards that guy who shot himself
Just saying if a chainsaw blade is in you I don’t think you would be able to scream also you would probably be dead in less then 2 seconds also a auger same story it’s honestly disgusting but yea no one would be able to scream your body would be scrap
Harl Rowe He wasn’t the gay basher. Benny (the #7 killed) was gay himself. A bald guy who confronted Antoine at the beginning of Episode 3 was the gay basher.
@@harlrowe3319 no, they mean the guy that tried to kill Antoine in the flashback. Instead, Antoine pushed him door, put his head in between the car door and frame, then kicked in the door, killing the guy.
@@gin.gefilms fr it annoyed me sm when that one dude got mad Renee saying “You just killed an innocent man” first of all he was not innocent he was a rapist and murderer, second of all would y’all really have kept him alive for Noah to keep seeing him for his trauma to be repeated like what? Nah praise Renee for killing him
