@@omgnagel2897 Lol, you can barely hear the basslines.. they are burried in the track, its very quite. Even listening with headphones, it's hard to hear. there are some parts in their songs where you can hear it, but not much
@@eliasyliantt7694 Put the video in slow motion and you will see that each hit is sampled and has the same attack and volume.. obviously he's playing for real but it doesn't really sound like that in real life zZz fake performance
тут слышно что наши в доску ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Q8jX0EblvM.html ) ABMETAL
On top of all that, Nobody is talking about how he has a whole mask on his face while doing these? F*cking legend. I have no words. His energy is unstoppable. Making the impossible, possible.
I love the breakdown of this song. I cant help but play it on repeat everyday. I never heard of y'all til I seen your song Agony and I liked it then when Demolisher came out I really got hooked. Baba Yaga is definitely my favorite song. Thanks for the sick vocals and breakdowns.
Yea, its pretty epic ain't it. He does that because of the difference i tone that it makes from the other end, and it also allows him to hit the drums harder with less risk of breaking the stick, which also contributes to the tone change, making it snappier, and more aggressive
@@FFLamaRijuana35 nope it's Dimitri Mamedov, their friend from We Are Obscurity band. He only appeared for the video and travels with them at concerts on the Demolisher Tour 2021, considering that their guitarist - Jack to this day cannot perform on stage due to the lack of a visa to other countries.
One thing I really admire about this band is that despite how disgusting Evgeny is, he doesn't wear out his style by doing insane stuff constantly. Same thing with Alex. Let's be real here, this band is all about drums and vocals lol. But both of them excel above most in their abilities but don't abuse the powers. They've really dialed in a much more mature sound since the first albums where it was just constant chaos which was cool but I always found it kind of difficult to dial in a feeling listening to some of the older stuff. They really tapped into their sound with agony, yaga and demolisher. I'm excited to see what the future holds for these guys because they are really bringing this genre to a new level.
I fully agree with everything you just said, aside from them being all about drums and vocals. Jack and Mikes guitarwork can be really great at points.
@@wucebrayne7565 I appreciate all aspects of musicianship having been in a few bands over the years but let's be real, the growls and double bass are what really stands out lol
I've always wondered why he does it and then uses triggered drums, since all that does is disadvantage him when he could hold them normally and play faster and easier with the same samples. Not trying to trigger shame just wondering
@@ashleyclacy8879 Adds weight to the end of the stick, resulting in a comparatively harder hit (I think). If I were to try playing like that, it would be awkward as hell. But if it's what he's used to, then I'm sure its as casual to him as anyone else's technique is to them.
@@bongwaterbojack exactly. Its easier to destroy the drums if you play like him but i guess he is experienced enough to know how to do it to not damage anything.
Regardless of reality, my head canon says that Alex is behind the camera moving it in and out making funny faces, So he put the mask on to see less of it to focus. The angry faces and threats of murder are real, and Alex has his eyes crossed going full tongue-in-cheek. Real? Probably not. But it certainly makes watching this video a trip.
@@jayceledet6756 No lol Brother in russian is Брат (Brat). Bratva is the Solncewska Mafia one of the most dangerous and largest organized crime groups in the world, established in Russia.

Man drumming is not easy, while drumming both parts of brain are active cz drummer have to smash those drums plus kicks and making a tone of it thats super tough.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Hats of to this guy
@@xboxlegend1242 He plays double strokes with his feet so his legs move at half the speed of whatever he plays since his foot is playing 2 notes for each leg movement. It's energy efficient, but it makes it so that he needs to trigger the bass drum in order to get a good, powerful sound since you simply can't make double strokes loud enough, or make the 2 notes of the double stroke sound similar enough in volume at high tempos, for death metal naturally. It's just the nature of the technique. Less tiresome, less volume.
@@met-shuggah3845 I really don't understand why he does it for everything though, even the slower parts where he's only playing 32nd notes. At that speed it'd just be easier and cleaner to do single stroke.
Your drummer gave me the courage to start drums (i always thought it was to darn complicated for me) and i can't feel more happy to have finally started it and giving all my heart to it. Blasting the shit out of this instrument is so much fun. Your awesome music, and sick beats are stress releaving as fuck! Thanks Slaughter To Prevail , and thank you Mr.Novikov , keep on your awesome work and music. Horns up to you from a French Baguette Metalhead
Evgeny is absolutely epic. He gets way too little attention for his incredible skills. Do more drum cams please. He is very inspiring for young drummers starting out, should showcase his skills more.
Awesome, Killer drummer. Without the vocals Iv realised how awesome Alex’s vocal placement, pattern, and range, makes the song amazing. Best vocalist in metal ATM ?
Как, например, Lorna Shore, Ingested, Defamed, Shadow of Intent и т.д.
you can tell this drummer works his ass off for these beats. well written drum sections and always an integral performance. I hope this band truly gets to live the dream of music. They are blowing up and its about time because the work invested is clearly substantial. at this point I hope they create their own label eventually.
I think this guy is one of the best drummers out there. It’s mind blowing watching this guy do he thing. Especially seeing him live it takes it to another level
@@tachunkthetrunk9053 lemme preface this with the fact that I like this band and thoroughly enjoy listening to them. This is simple drumming. Not complex or difficult what so ever. Some of my personal favorites, Alex Rudinger, Chris Turner, Danny Carey, Travis Orbin. Check these guys out, and compare style vs technicality. I mean... you'll easily have a new favorite out of one of these guys.
затрудняюсь даже сказать как страшней он выглядит- в маске или без, когда он ее снял, то реально предстал сам нечистый во плоти))))) и барабанит еще как диавол)))
When I needed another fix from Vinnie Abbott to Evgeny Novikov its not easy to witness performances of this ability and the technical experience related to sound creation... it is nothing less than pure performance ritual at its finest
I gotta say I’ve always been a guitar guy just love the sounds of the shred but this bro banging on them drums and that double bass is unbelievable and so on pint and crazy fast !!! Mad talent !!!!
A trigger is a device mounted onto a drum which takes the vibration from the hit and "triggers" a sampled sound over the acoustic sound, basically turning into an electronic kit more or less. Many metal drummers use them on their bass drums because at high speeds, they'd be inaudible without the trigger. An old misconception about them is that they made they drummer sound like they were playing faster than they actually were. An example being that people thought the trigger would play two bass drum sounds for every one hit, when in reality the trigger simply makes what the drummer is playing much more audible. If anything, it highlights a sloppy drummer and their mistakes if they don't have clean foot technique because they can't hide behind the lower, generally quieter sound a bass drum has. That misconception gave rise to the stigma associated with triggers and how many ignorant folks consider them "cheating".
Man I love the complicated stuff but I also love the straight coordinate doubles towards the end just awesome powerful old-school flavor at the end of it
