they're all too busy watching the show on their phone making a recording to post to their 5 followers on socials that they'll never watch again. Live shows have become real pathetic with the cell phone stupidity
@@shadowyclip You say all this while probably watching this on your phone. Why don't you actually appreciate the fact that this is the first time they have EVER been on American soil rather being a judgment dick about it? It's called astonishment rather than insulting to no one but you!!!🤬🤬🤬
Seriously Eugeny had more time to warm up alone on-stage when everyone else was AWOL than the actual set. What did they even eek out, 4 songs? They were our entire reason for attending beyond catching DOWN. Outside of this festival how many Americans have even seen this band live in concert?
I literally found out about this band a few days ago, I couldn't believe how wild their studio tracks were so I had to look them up live. This is the first video I stumbled upon and I am absolutely blown away at how talented this band is, Thank you for sharing!!!
@@Spetsnaz271 well that's reassuring. I saw STP open a tour with oceano, Chelsea grin and headlined by Whitechapel and it took half their set for the crowd to get into it. Small venue, I was on the wall with my wife and she was like "why are you angry about the pit when you're not in the pit?" Lol.
See all the dust starting at 2:00? That was the pit. lol We even did a wall of death for Demolisher. I had to slap the dust off my clothes when the set was over, and bathing that night was a must.
@@TylerNOS386277 I was at a festival in Dallas years ago and I had to find the dust to find the pit. I looked like a powdered donut after but worth it. It was first time hearing Chelsea Grin and I’ve been hooked ever since. When Recreant hit the place went fucking nuts. I’ve been to 2 Pantera concerts and the pit for CG was even crazier.
Jesus, Alex sounds amazing live!!! I hope they come to the Midwest. Either Wisconsin or Illinois. Would love to see them at some point. Awesome upload dude!!! Thanks much!!
Our pleasure, thanks for checking us out. Following Blue Ridge, they did add a couple more dates including one in Chicago, act fast! PS, they also had a limited number of M&Gs :)
After 1984, Alex was told that they had time for 2 more songs, but after Demolisher, some dude approached them and probably told that they had no more time (you can notice that in other live videos).
Thank you for filming/uploading this set. I'm WAAAAY late to the game having just recently discovered STP. At first they were a pinch too heavy for me but after 1984 released, I'm now f'n obsessed. I gotta see these boys live.
My best friend and I were right on the front barrier for them and hollllllly shittttt did we go ballistic. Definitely my favorite performance at Blue Ridge this year.
Festival shows be like that. This looks like it was rather early in the day so there were easily a half dozen or more bands that had to go on after them.
Y’know, in the first few seconds of the video, I can already see that the long-gray-haired homeboy in front of the camera desperately needed some sunscreen on his scalp. This concern is coming from one sunburned soul to another. Worst part is, I religiously reapplied sunscreen - even while simultaneously getting smushed by crowd surfers during this set. . Sounds crazy, but it was more than worth it and I kind of enjoyed it. The whole festival experience was so immersive (our friend got a bloody nose at his first ever metal show and festival) and we simply can’t wait until next year. It was my first time camping in a tent and I loved it. Next time we’ll camp at the festival site but we were camped on Hyco Lake so it was still amazing. My soul needed ALL of it.
That was an awesome show! I kept my ass in the middle back some. I didn't know what to expect! it was fun! I spent most of that day at this stage. A lot of great acts that day on that stage. That kid had the coolest dad.
Prior to this show, they had 3 other US dates announced for the fall and have since added a few more following BRRF. They also have a limited number of M&G options, act fast! :)
They live here now in Florida if I'm not mistaken. We were afraid they'd get Bidened back when he was busy blocking everything, like Alexander's old Russian Hate store. Fuck putting your pansy politics over the international art trade. No oligarchy suffers shutting down STP.
5 total but agree 100%, they should have had a longer set. Given the massive turnout, I would hope they're secured back for next year and promoted to larger stage or at minimum longer set.
Man if these guys were around in this capacity, 10 years ago, that crowd would be going ham. All of us hardcore kids grew up and don't fucking throw bows anymore. Getting old sucks.
Thank you for this! Wish they would have played Death. That song would have been amazing especially the breakdown. Seeing them in headlining in November super stoked.
That‘s what I thought too. Everybody filming their shitty videos they‘re never gonna watch again - but miss half the experience because of it. I hate crowds like this.
Why is the crowd not going insane I’m so bummed up I didn’t get to see this live was one of there only listed American sets at the moment especially at such a great festival was a sure treat for these folks don’t think they get how lucky they were
To those that comment how the crowds seems so dead, the person that record this is outside the pit. There’s some peoples that just want to see the shows and not getting pushed around man. (See 3:00 in, that dust's the moshpit's work peoples)
@@arinsarris Literally been there just for SLP after learning that Alex had to move to the US. Shit's actually crazy inside the pit lol. There's a reason why there's cloud of dust everywhere sometimes. (Like in 3:00 in, that's the moshpit's work my guy)
In freaking Virginia and I missed this. The crowd is so lame. Man I would get that crowd pumped up for this kick arse song. None of those people look like metalheads anyway. I haven't seen so many baseball caps turned around like that since the 90's. Come on people freaking jam out.
It's kinda weird for a large group of people to get sunburned beyond belief for a band that doesn't excite them. Id be losin it already lol wanna see these guys live so bad
Yes, think soundcheck ran a little longer than planned as well. Fingers crossed, they’ll be back next year promoted to larger stage or at minimum longer duration set given their massive turnout and stellar performance.
To the right/middle of my angle. After 6hours on the rail the day prior and helping security, we stepped to the side. Such a huge turnout for STP which was awesome to see :)
