The Carpathian settlement Slavske is located in the valley of the Opir River and is surrounded by mountains from all sides. The village has been a resort since the beginning of the 19th century when the first hotels and climatotherapy station appeared there. In the 70-80s of the 20th century, with the advent of lifts and the opening of ski schools, the resort became popular among amateurs of winter sports and active recreation.
Slavske constantly evolves and changes. However, these changes are not always positive. Instead of cutting down forests for wooden houses and chaotic construction, the Lviv spouses of architects Eduard Pastukh and Olha Sukha, for whom Slavske is also a cult-place, offer an alternative. This story is about experiments with environmental construction.
