Too bad we can't make out much of what Gary is playing! Especially the solos… Dave's chops are just disgustingly amazing as most everyone knows. But Paul may be a more steady timekeeper… he is very precise yet powerful, a great combo.
+demer 23 one of the benefits of going bald at an earlier age, as long as you stop the joke before the punchline by shaving that mug. His playing is still ferocious! Long live King.
Powerful performance. My brother was at that gig. I didn't see Slayer live with Gary until June 2016. The only, shall we say "official" lineup I never saw live was with John Dette but he never recorded an album with them so I don't feel like I missed out by not seeing him with them.
I couldnt imagine having SLAYER at a venue this small... It would be epic and I would not be lame in the front row like these noobs.... I havnt seen this since the Stone in SF in 1987!!! SLAYER!!!! GARY FKn HOLT... SHKM!!!!
Kerrry's downpicking is actually insane! Even Gary is cheating a little bit in the verse... People like to talk shit about Kerry's guitar playing but I would like to see them play this song like he does!
This is metal that has melody, much better than some more recent Slayer stuff. The last Slayer album I liked was Diabolus...and only a few songs on that were any good. They peaked with Seasons.
I hear you bro. I'm 46 years old, I know my Slayer, and we all like different things. But, I feel one of the better and most underrated Slayer albums is Christ Illusion....that fucking album kicks ass !!!
Divine is great. God hates us all is also great. You're missing out. Also I'd argue that Reign in Blood was their peak. That album changed metal forever. Just ask any death metal band.
