The opening riff still gives me chills.

Their intros are legendary. Hanneman and King were an amazing guitar duo.

This is 💯 percent my favorite slayer song. It's slow, heavy and sinister. The riffs sound sinister. And the lyrics give me goosebumps. Honestly you can't get more perfect imo

No other band compares to SLAYER. Listening to Slayer always improves my mood 😮😮😮

This song's about Ed Gein, the Plainfield butcher. He loosely inspired Silence of the Lambs, Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He was convicted for four killings in court stemming from the disappearance of a woman that worked late nights at a local tavern he frequented. He was the last customer the night she went missing. When the brief investigation led to his farmhouse in the rural outskirts of town, she was found gutted and hanging upside down being drained of her blood..

After all the years I've been listening to different forms of extreme metal (black metal, death metal, grindcore, etc) this is still one of the darkest songs I have ever heard. Lyrics are twisted without being ridiculous or amusing like a lot of brutal death lyrics.

My brother was a huge metal head since the 80's... he bought "seasons in the abyss" in '90, and when I was born one year later, he decided to give it to me if he deems me worthy to carry such an artifact... it was one of the greatest achievements of my life to grab the disc a few years ago :D

I'm more of a Megadeth fan when it comes to the Big 4, but this song.... this song defines Metal in every sense. Slayer is definitely a force, they deserve to be in the Rock n Roll Hall of fame. Put Megadeth in there, then put Slayer in the next year. Then Anthrax because they're just as deserving!

This song is a fucking sign. I used to see the number 31 EVERYWHERE. I mean everyday. Everywhere i looked I couldnt escape it. Then out of no where, I started dating this girl on 3/1/2016. Once I realized it, I freaked out. It was not on purpose I chose that day to start dating her. Bu once we got together, the number vanished. I stopped seeing it. I thought the number 31 was a sign that I would be with the love of my life on 3/1, because I fell madly in love with her. Then, on 3/1/2017, our anniversary, she dumped me out of no where, she simply didnt want it anymore. Its killing me still that shes gone and it made me hate the number 31 all over again. then I remembered this song. I went to listen to it, and saw that the first gargoyle statue it shows has 31 on it. Then I scrolled down, and see that this was uploaded May 31, 2006. I will never know the true meaning of this coincidence. I feel so haunted now..
