People were not joking when they said Japanese people are reserved, quiet and shy. No one so much as moved. It looked like they were showing the trailer to a bunch of mannequins.
People already knew it was gonna be slayer though, so it’s kinda understandable. It was teased at the end of Arc Live and a silhouette of him was shown AT Evo Japan itself
Is it a crime to be excited in Japan? I know its a more reserved culture but damn. The crowd reactions feel so dry. Guess im just too used to crowd reacts in the states.
Everyone already knew it was Slayer lol, don’t expect much. Japanese crowds are more reserved than American crowds on average sure but it’s not all like this (been in some pretty lit concert crowds). On the other end of things, European, South American, Middle Eastern crowds are much more lively than American ones
Based japaneses not being complete consoomers idiots screaming like if they just won the lottery because of a new fighting game character everyone knew was coming is added. I love those big pop reactions like Johnny at EVO but stop overhyping everything to then cry like a baby the character is too strong and should be nerf, this happened for Happy Chaos btw.
Screaming for excitement isn't "fake hype" lol, it's literally just people being excited and happy. People just express their excitement differently, no need to be bog it down.
@merlinthestrange8543 you don't understand. I LOVE slayer and am excited to see him added to the game. That being said, we already knew slayer was coming and again, it's just them marketing company product. So while yes, I am happy that slayer is coming to the game, it doesn't warrant nearly the response people in the west overreact to and give.
