great video nice catches too thanx for sharing your skills...... never fished the DEL River are there places to bank fish with a chair etc, Im a disables Vet along the river? Thanx
Hey thanks for the comment. There definitely are a few places that you could go. I one time took my Grandma (who was in a wheelchair) fishing with me in palmyra NJ and there was a lot of great bank access for fishing on the Delaware. I did pretty well but I mostly caught catfish. Not to say there aren’t other species in the Philly area but I haven’t explored it much. I like to use Google Earth to scout out the access as best as possible. Hope this helps! Tight lines 🎣
What could you recommend to me that is a 2 piece rod and what size real would a 3000 be fine I would be fishing along Delaware river as well for striped bass
@crowwing9322 for the rod I would recommend something between 6'6" and 7' med action depending on what bait you are throwing/using. if using Live bait, you want a lighter action to feel the bites and for lures you can go to med/heavy action. I think a 3000 series would be fine id throw 15-20lb braid as the main line. That's just what I usually would prefer I'm sure there are plenty of setups that would work for bass in the river just gotta put in the time and learn whats best for ya. I hope this helps! @@finfurfeather2238 Thank you brotha really just needed this info I have a similar setup at the moment for large mouth even snake heads but was curious if that would be fine for stripped bass
It depends on how high the water is but I usually try to avoid weights when possible. I think I get more bites and less snags. Without a weight you can also feel bites a lot better. There are certainly times where adding weights will get the bait down closer to fish but in this video my setup was weightless
