Maine is a great place to ride, I’ve spent quite a bit of time up there. Try the Jackman/Rangeley area for a completely different feel than Aroostook County. Don’t forget NH also as they have a lot of elevation change with beautiful vistas. But I will say you haven’t ridden anything till you’ve ridden northern Quebec. Then you’ll be eating the filet mignon!!!

I'll have to consider Jackman/Rangeley next time and maybe NH. I believe that Northern Quebec must be great from what I hear but I'm not sure it's worth the risk of my stuff getting stolen and also the expense of all of the permits I'd need to ride there for a week. I'll still keep it on the bucket list. Thanks for watching and for the suggested riding areas.

I don't even bother registering my sled in New York anymore I've been going to Quebec now for all most 30 years now we ride 10 days up there and but around 5000 miles.. With the exchange a trip up there is less expensive than you my think. And to top it off the truck ride is only about 6 to 7 hours instead of mains 9 to 11
@johnporter4781

Correction put on around 3500 miles 5000 miles when we are there for 15 days
@Paisteboy
@Paisteboy 9 месяцев назад
I'll have to keep that in mind. Are you saying that you only ride 10 to 15 days per season?
@johnporter4781
@johnporter4781 9 месяцев назад
@@Paisteboy This will be the first year. I don't register my sled in New York. So this year will be the first I only ride ten fifteen days. I only rode my sled in NY last yr 4 times so it just doesn't seem worth riding in ny anymore.. if we end up getting a good winter maybe I'll change my mind

🤣Hahahahaha.. Now you sound just like me Paiste.. After riding in Upper Maine you get spoiled. then It makes it really tough coming back here and having to ride these trail conditions. Heeey !! Get those new boots outta the mud. 😂 Take care buddy.
@Paisteboy

So true!😁 I wish our trails were better more often. The other guys don't know how good the trails are in Maine. We may have to take them there this season! I put the boots away nice and clean to be sure. Won't be long now. Trails could potentially open in Old Forge on Monday the 4th this season. Take care buddy.

Awesome! I'm glad you got back into it. It's such a great sport. Spending time with my brother and my best friends tearing up the Trail is like therapy. It won't be long now before we're out there riding!

Show up at noon on Saturday when the snow is melting and complain about the trials. Try showing up at 6-7 and go during the week like you did in Maine you will find the trails 💯 different. If you think Maine is good try Canada!

@@Paisteboyhow does it hold up on riding like as does it come loose a lot ?
@Paisteboy
@Paisteboy 9 месяцев назад
It holds up amazingly! I have the cage for it and it's never come loose. I've never had an issue with this camera. The battery works great too. Each battery lasts about 80 minutes. Cold doesn't bother it at all and I've used it in some pretty cold temps. It's more reliable than the GoPro but I've also had pretty good luck with the GoPro too. The picture isn't as good as the GoPro because of the 360 area that it has to capture and then you zoom in to a single view but it's still pretty good. It records in 4k but then you zoom in to get the single forward-facing view that you want to watch so it's like zooming way in and that loses clarity. It also takes quite a bit more time to edit because you have to select the view and render all of the footage that you want to use before you add it to your main editing software. It creates a great perspective though in my opinion.

@@Paisteboy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, I’ve been watching your videos for a couple years. I just saw you got this camera and I have a GoPro right now but I was thinking of switching over to the camera that you have.
@Paisteboy
@Paisteboy 9 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching. I've been doing this for so long that I feel that I have to take something up a notch every season. The 360 camera is what I upped for the 2022-2023 season. It does double to triple my editing time per riding video though. Haven't come up with anything new for this season yet though.
