Image scientist here. For anyone curious about the dress color, if you use software to view the colors of the dress, the “white” parts of the dress in the image are actually very slightly tinted blue. The bands of the dress definitely appear to be gold though. However, if you notice in the image, the background seems to be overexposed. If we bring the brightness of the image down to make the background appear less exposed, the dress does in fact become blue and black. The truth is, there really isn’t a correct answer. Perceptually, the dress can appear black and blue to some people, but white and gold to others. Not everyone has the same eye structure and not everyone perceives color the exact same way. Software might tell you the dress is white and gold, but you might perceive the dress as black and blue.
Which fucks me up, because it just brings me back to that hellish question of “what if the red I see isn’t the same as the red other people see”, because it really can be fucking different for people. Obviously for color blind people it can be drastically different, but in general, various people who aren’t considered color blind, can view colors in a different way. Even if it’s just slight, it’s wild!!! I’ve done eye tests on colors, and I have exceptionally high perception of color. I had no idea other people literally don’t see quite as many shades of color as I can. 😳 (But it slightly explains my hypersensitivity to brightness, because everything can very easily become overwhelmingly too much in the right lighting 😵💫)
Fun fact about the dress, In person it is black and blue but the images color is based off of how much natural sunlight you get normally, Those who are inside more see it as black and blue, and people who see it as white and gold get more natural light

I've always seen the dress as black and blue. I can understand how people confuse the black for gold because of the yellow lighting reflecting off the black, but I can never see the white.
no, the background is overexposed making it appear white, if corrected to balance the backgorund properly it becomes gold however. awful trick of the light resulting in many eyes processing it differently

Weird that Mika was abandoned by his parents at a young age, has no body scent of his own, and has an obsession with fragrances. I wonder if he'll try to make his own perfume next.
I love these videos, cuz Mika talks about cologne, and it was cool hearing him talk about the new eros cuz I got it but it kinda smells like creed avenues for the people but if I could recommend a some new fragrances for Mika it would be pacific chill from Louis Vuitton, Greenly from perfumes de Marley, Naxos from xerjoff, side effect from initio, gris charnel from bdk and citrus riviera from idk swell
