Sleep in minutes 😴 with DEEP box fan sound resonating through double tubes! - Black Screen

I put two plastic tubes in front of a box fan with mics in the other end, and recorded the fan sound in that way. The resonating sound together with a soft bass and white noise came out really nice. I hope this sound will help you relax and sleep better!

I would clip a sheet around the outside of a box fan, weigh down the edges so it made an inflated tunnel and sleep in there before I had central air.

@@ericresh3268We do that when we're running on generators after a hurricane. Instead of sleeping in a stuffy bed, I have a cot for putting up when tent camping, and I sleep on that because it breathes really well. I get a sheet from my king size mattress and stuff it under the pad on the cot and put the box fan at the opening, making a big tunnel. It's the coolest way to sleep when it's 80-90F outside and no AC.

Its pretty amazing how many of us feel this in our child hood. I used to sleep over at my friends house every weekend. They had a fan in their room, at first it used to be really annoying, but overtime became comfortable. Now I cant sleep without fan sounds lol.

Box fans make the best air purifiers. You get one of the square air filters from a renovation shop like Home Depot and just tape it to the back and boom, best air cleaner you can get. It literally fits on them perfectly. . Been running one in my house for the last year. Makes a world of difference. The air is so clean.

It resonates with your mind taking you back to noises in the womb. That's why many ASMR artists will talk and eat because that's also heard. Another example is the swaddling and swishing technique used on newborn babies to soothe them back to sleep. The swishing you do into the baby's ear simulates the sound while the tight swaddle simulates the tight quarters just prior to birth.

That’s because it triggers Asmr in the body. (Autonomous sensory meridian response). So it’s an automatic response to stimuli that gives relaxation and calmness

Not working for me. Mechanical sounds like air conditioning, refrigerators etc keep me awake. Wish I wasn't like that. Rain, waves on a beach, waterfalls are relaxing to me as long as not loud

Look up "white noise" which is higher pitched, "pink noise" which is similar to this fan noise, and "brown noise" which is lower pitched like inside an air conditioner duct or roadway noise.

Reminds me of our fan heater in our cold cellar when i was a kid. We had our bathroom there. After showering I always sit there and try to catch some warm waves from the heater. So relaxing!

When I was younger I never took naps. But if a box fan was going and the windows were open and it was fall with a football game on. I was napping! Immediately dozed off with the fan. I love hearing it to this day.

The tubes give that extra woosh. That's great! This is also vaguely musical cuz there is the deep key note and one note four steps higher which makes it practically a major chord. I checked and it's just a little below B 440hz. So you can also jam along to it, and then sleep! Brilliant! Thank you a lot!

I struggle terribly falling and staying asleep. Top that with Tinnitis that gets super loud when it's quiet and I lay down. I was using cricket sounds to drown out the ringing in the ears but it would wake me up. For the last 3 nights I have used this sound and within 15 minutes I'm asleep, and I'm sleeping HARD. It brings me back to childhood, sleeping with the windows open and the fan on in the middle of summer. This sound remind my childhood back in early 90s where my parents set me this type of box fan with timer at night. when i woke in morning for me going to the kindergarten the box fan already shut off as my parents already set the time while im asleep. Now im 36yo my parents still here they're 70yr old now . Such an loving memories we had with our parents

It fades to black after an hour so if you watch on a tv or tablet the screen dims to help you fall asleep. You can enjoy the first hour though, and probably fall asleep within that time!

I think this is more brown noise than white noise (brown being a deeper lower frequency). I prefer this deeper sound. Masks other sounds better. Great for sleeping. Thank you for making and sharing it! Excellent!
