Their live performances are ridiculously passionate. I saw them live in Detroit a few weeks ago and the energy was off the charts. The crowd feeds off the band's energy and it's freaking phenomenal. I'm still riding the adrenaline high from their concert for like past 3 weeks lolloll

So the singer writes and records all parts of the songs except drums. The guitarist and bassist are official members of the band, but according to the credits on streaming services, Vessel and II (drummer), are the only ones writing and recording. III and IV only play live
There's no such thing as too much green. Vessel does the vocals I didn't see it in this video but IV, on guitar, also does the harsh lyrics. And, we're all a little weird!! Great reaction.
it's awesome you gave them another try. like you, sleep token didn't click for me the first time i heard them...just after their previous album came out. i could admit they were talented, but it just didn't do it for me at the time. then, early this year, Chokehold and the Summoning came out and I gave them another go... It just suddenly clicked...and i fell in love with them. I went back and listened to their entire catalogue, and I love it all.
They have done some stuff on stage I’ve never really seen other bands do on stage. They’ve really grown comfortable with their crowds and watching them live is so amazing. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and the crowd goes wild every. Single. Time! He also cries on stage. His passion is amazing and every song is genius. I’m curious to know what was the first song you heard and didn’t like? I didn’t care for them at first until I listened a couple times and I became obsessed with their newest album and fell deeply In love with the other two. Understanding the lore and background of this band is truly amazing and it makes the experience so intriguing and quite amazing. Worship 🙏🏻

Yes, the crowd is going ape shit and singing with him. 😅 Vessel may be weird to you but he's pure genius! And personally, i love watching him dance around 😂 If you look at their earlier concerts, you'll see him in nothing but his robe, skinny jeans, & black socks.... no shoes 😂😂😂...and he's as flat footed as a duck like me😂😂 His boots now are like from Japan or something, just a soft sole. Might as well be socks 😅 Glad you picked up on his "Holy Spirit". He's performing for the deity Sleep. His music is a token to sleep, Hence the name. You need to start at the beginning with their first album SUNDOWNING. Not all of it is hard, but it is all awesome and is part of the journey of Vessel and his relationship with Sleep. The Offering is on their first album and its a banger. Once you listen to their entire discography you'll understand a lot more. They are anonymous because they want their music to speak to people instead of who they are as people. And because of that, their music completely enraptures you until you're obsessed. It's great to watch others go down the Rabbit hole... it's like we get to re-live our first impression of Sleep Token. Soooo good! Ok well I wish you good journey. I'm here for any and all Sleep Token man! Their music is addicting and powerful. It actually makes you FEEL something. Enjoy! @@NTN_Lex lol it's an extremely DEEP hole indeed. They have 2 EPs titled aptly ONE and TWO. Very good introduction to them. Just don't turn it off if you don't like how it's going. I promise you'll like where it ends. Those who stop the song too early miss out on some killer music. Even the title of their first album has a meaning. The easiest way to describe what you are listening to is a book. Like a book, each song on an album is a chapter in a book. Each chapter (song) tells a little more of the story of Vessel and Sleep, and how toxic the relationship is. But there is so much passion in these "chapters" that they enthrall you until it feels like a religious experience. Another reason fans "Worship" at their Rituals (tour shows). If you ever heard of Queensryche, then you'll know about the albums they did with a plot or storyline. That's what Sleep Token has done. Weaved a story among their music, disguises and all. So like anyone who's read a series of books, the fans need to know what happens at the end. So, this latest album is the third in a trilogy and in order to fully appreciate it and especially the last song, EUCLID, you should start at the beginning.

First time I heard them, I almost turned it off 30 or 45 seconds in. After a second listen, then a third, I was hooked. Two years later, I’m not sure a day goes by when I don’t at least listen to one of their songs. This is about as consistently heavy as they’ve gotten. Everything they do has heavy sections, but most of their songs are a build. There’s a ton of R&B, blues, and soul in the vocal melodies, especially early in songs, that may come off as “soft,” but you just haven’t gotten to the heavy yet. I love my heavy music too, but you can’t have heavy without light. In the end, though, it comes down to personal preference. Judging by your taste, I’d say Gods and The Summoning are solid options from here.

FYI this video is slightly misleading as it mostly leaves out IV, the guitarist, who pretty much does all the harsh vocals when they play Vore live. Vessel's mic is always turned way down in the harsh bits. I am presuming they set it up this way both to protect his voice and because IV clearly has good harsh vocals. That and Vessel never really been one for harsh vocals, nor does he need to when he can sing so well!
