Anybody else notice that the faint keyboard piece in the background during the end of the song is the vocal melody for the chorus of Hypnosis? These songs are connected by more than the lyrics.
Oh yeah, there are musical themes and references all over the place between the three albums. Technically (meaning in a technical way) it's how the whole trilogy blends so beautifully together. Truly magnificent. Worship 💜
And you are a garden, entwined with all You are the silence on sacred shores You've got diamonds for teeth, my love So take a bite of me, just once, I want to Turn the page once again, oh Take a bite This is a giving, an offering In your favour, a sacrifice in your name But I know you've got a taste So just take a bite of me Turn the page once again, oh Give in again and let me lay My arms belong around you So take a bite, I want to know I want to Take a bite Take a bite
Was definitely hoping for a whole album matching the dark/ominous overtones in this song. The group is undeniably talented, but I really enjoyed the unique dark sound and feel their other songs don't stand out as much as this one.
Same here . The only songs I feel that match the intensity of this song I feel is Higher and Gods. I sometimes put say what you will in there not at all for the singing and calm piano throughout but that ending instrumental part with vessel's "you've got me up in a frenzy" echoing through those monsterous yet somehow relaxing chords ,it feels like you're going into another dimension .
The intense songs especially The Offering and Higher are amazing, but I love what they did with many others too, Dark Signs, Sugar, Blood Sport are incredible, most of the album is actually, I think album opener is the most underwhelming song that's why when they first dropped it I thought they shifted their sound into something mediocre.
Dwėsk dark signs was experimentally cool. Sugar is actually my other favorite outside the fast paced ones. Bloodsport isn’t bad. I like the chorus and guitar together. Could’ve been just a tinge less upbeat imo, but overall very catchy My problem (very personal, not everyone will agree) is that I change music based on mood/what I need. I’m sure the calm songs will be nice some day, but they’re not really a part of my life right now. That coupled with them being the least unique tracks make them easy skips for me. Higher and The Offering are replay victims, though.
It is so heartwarming to see their ascent and their journey. I am blown away by the production. This is undoubtedly the album of the year for me. Thank you so much, Sleep Token! This is a gem and a creative force for me. I just wish to see you guys perform live soon enough. Please come to India soon. WORSHIP!
This came up on my recommended through Spotify, and like most things, I tend to just listen as background noise. Even then though, I always heard something different from this song. Really glad I decided to eventually check Sleep Token out! This band is crazy talented. And you know what? While I want to praise the members, I'm okay not knowing who they are. It really shows extra how talented they are that they don't have big names attached to them. They are organically incredible, and that is a beautiful thing. Super excited what the future holds for this band. Or rather, what this band holds for the future. I foresee massive influence in the future.
Those guitars are so complex yet so simple. Feels amazing to listen to. Also love that in the intro, the riff was on the keyboard synthesizer first, whether recorded or electronically produced. And like everyone else said, those drums are super too. Same with the bass and the vocals. Genius vocals.
This has become my favorite song of all time of any band. I never thought I could name one. But I finally have. These guys are legendary. I have chills and tears in my eyes every time I listen. And every time i listen, I experience something new in the complexity of its depth. It is so tragic and beautiful, powerful and soft, clean and brutal, sinful and saintly all wrapped in one. I'll never forget this moment.
There should be the heaviest scream ever at 4:09! It calls for it so bad!!!! Its an amazing song but a scream right there I would literally die in pure beautiful soundwaves
I was perusing some of their other stuff on youtube. While its all fantastic for what they are doing, this is the only one so far that hit hard for me as a metal head. I would LOVE to see them put out more songs like this one. The riff is SO heavy!
I’m hearing this for the first time right now and I am so blown away. The singer is incredible and obviously the drummer is perfect. Incredible song sounds like meshuggah at the end.
@@theguy4361 I see what you mean but that definitely isn't him. Edit: misunderstood what you said, I read that in my head thinking you were claiming that it was him, which you weren't. My bad lmao.
i got into them thanks to issues and got to see them live after. ugh, i miss them. they are so good live and the experience in general... let me tell you.
Ahh I get the whole story now. What is gonna be the next story? Love that we know who Vessel and Two are and maintain that secret. Love our community so much! Follow 2s feet. It's amazing
Makes me think of fall, winter, out in the country. Also makes me think of hitting a PR(personal record) in the gym, hit a squat, bench, or my deadlift.
