omfg Kellin is fucking amazing. its as if he had the high range of Jag from A Skylit Drive AND the technicality of Johnny Craig...not to mention his screaming! so stoked to play with them May 18th!!!!!
its hard to sing up there when ur trying to jump around, do you realize for one thing how hot it is in that venue when no ones performing just from everyone being in there, then when u get to jumping and screaming and trying to get the crowd pumped it gets hotter yet and you get very shortwinded, the fact that the crowd was dead and the band kept on being themselves i think is amazing, and dont even pull "hes only good in the studio" until you see the acoustics , dont hate unless u can outdo!
Well Ear plugs are a god send for vocalists with little money, trust me! totally worth stealing from work ;) You can tell there really passionate about there music, real inspiration :)
Just to tell you, the title should ACTUALLY be "The Bomb.com Version 2.0" They made a first one, called 'The Bomb Dot Com'. And this is the sequel, or, better yet, the second version! :]
I doubt Kellin would want to do that because at least they are taking the time out to listen to them. Who knows maybe when half of them left they bought their cd cause they've never heard of SWS before
This live song proves time and time again that Kellin does NOT have perfect pitch. He's all over the damn place when there's nothing for him to tune to.
@ADTRKICKSASS Maybe it's because the crowd was so stiff to the point where he didn't want to show off his madd skills. I've seen him live at least 5 times and they were all amazing.
They're probably in fucking disbelief at how AMAZING this band is! haha like they're pretty unknown so all u can do is just STARE ya know? haha if i didn't know them before i'd do the same thing, like UUMMMMmmm did that really happen? : )
Amazing performance!!!! Fail face palm crowd. I was dancing And singing just watching the video! Come on ppl dance head hang Do Something! That was crap. Team SWS!!
@JakeMassacree Yeah I noticed that after the first comment I posted, I just watched this one as it came up first :p Just this video shocked me a little really, expected better from him lol. I don't know how bands can be satisfied with a recording which is that over-edited to be honest, wouldn't feel like my own work personally.
Wow, this crowd fucking sucks. I just saw Sleeping With Sirens on Monday in Orlando, and lemmie tell you, we know how to fucking move. I personally love them live. And plus, SWS is from Orlando, so fuck yeah
@JakeMassacree I can't sing that high pitched, so I don't do it in the first place when recording :p just to the best of my ability. And yeah I know what you mean about AA. Most screamers are like that to be honest. Everything from the throat = wrecked voice. Look at alexisonfire for a perfect example - can't scream any more having done it wrong for about 7 years. Just a shame about SWS as he sounds so damn good on the CD.
@polarbear1011 Lol Its the other way around. Please if you're much a musician, and you can sing yourself, you yourself try to sing James Dean with a "pressed throat" or simply the constriction of the throat, much more easily then. If he were to take on classical music... then this extension would be the same extension of that of the Leggiero Tenor. Go listen to acoustic stuff like big gulps. Notice how he drifts into full voice so easily from falsetto. Then you tell me if I need to learn more.
@polarbear1011 this is late in set they do this song last i believe and I don't know what it takes to be a front man but i know what it takes to sing in a band like this and it takes so much out of you I'm not crying I'm just saying don't take one bad show and let it tell you about his whole career and talent
@polarbear1011 It's not even nasally. Second... He can't be singing with his throat because constriction wouldn't allow him to access that extension he has that lets him drift up past High C. Now he can sing such a high tessitura because of the extension and simply his voice is incredible light. Using this "pressed vocals" wouldn't even get him up there so much more easily as he already does now. He'll ruin his voice because of the screaming, and of course he would, HE SINGS OPERA NOT ROCK.
@durkabyrd22 i dont know if its just me, but every crowd from this tour sucked that i saw. no one moved for this band? :O i think because it wasnt expected since it was a jonny craig show
@JakeMassacree I do know what I'm talking about, and I do understand how hard it is to hit those notes as I scream and sing in a hardcore band myself. I never said he was bad, just disappointing. Oh, and if screaming affects your singing, you're doing it completely wrong in a way that will ruin your voice anyway. I'm not claiming to be a pro but my screaming doesn't affect my singing at all. No need to be a prick about it anyway.
@polarbear1011 Are you deaf? Sure there are pitches off. But for the most he's singing. Secondly, even most classical singers... Like Pavarotti had once stated. It's extremely difficult to hear yourself and keep in tune in such a high tessitura. You must give up everything to sensations. As for Kellin..He is no where near that level and so I give him props for even getting up there, and for staying on most of the key considering everything is so loud.. PLUS he's singing in such a high tessitura.
@polarbear1011 they had a bit of a bad show if you move as much as they do youd be much worse and he isnt off key most of the time only in the beggining listen to another show or one of the acoustic covers they do of their songs he just had a bad night
@0hwndizzl3d that better be some other random dude named Jonny and not Jonny Craig. While I do think Kellin's voice is one of the best in that genre Jonny Craig leads the pack. Just sayin'
why the fuck do people keep talking about the crowdd?? who cares?? i'm not watching the crowd ! i'm watching the band! who cares about the fucking crowd.
@piinoieboiie haha and the only reason he can sing in such a high tessitura is cause he is using pressed vocals(using just his throat and no diaphragm) and singing mostly through his nose..which indeed is horrible technique.. by the time he is 40 his voice will be shot!! and Pavarotti would be appalled to hear his style of vocals.. sorry he isnt that great.. haha
@piinoieboiie haha naa man I had my mother( Who indeed is a a music major from SAC State) and also the best Tenor in her professional chorus and award winning quartet, and she even says hes horrible.. you are the kind of people that are going to kill the music industry.. Im sorry but its horrible.. haha have a nice life.. bye
@polarbear1011 Yeah, I'm part of my choirs, and let me tell you choir SATB is far more different than this music. They are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT music genres and approaches towards singing. You are the kind of people that are limited to your own confidence. You gather information and then tell me you know a few things then saying, OH MY MOTHER HAS A MUSIC MAJOR. There's a difference from SATB and Kellin's music with his untrained voice and being able to coordinate it like this.
