You are so right about anxiety. I've literally cried in the grocery store because they were out of my favorite flavor of Ramen noodles when I've been extremely stressed. Lol
That journal is very "you"! I hope you enjoy using it! I stopped journaling after a while because I found that it was just making me ruminate on all the bad shit in my life lol. I'm one of those people who 'getting the feelings out' usually makes me feel worse instead of better.
I grew up with the same views of journaling, but journaling has been proven to help with stress and anxiety so it's been promoted a lot in the US as a wellness technique now.
Totally get the 'where'd time go' feeling! Also a February baby and don't feel like it's been a whole year! Like, my brain wants to start preparing for Christmas, coz what happened to that holiday?! Can we just press pause on time for a bit so we can all catch up?
Related hard when you were talking about how your mental health is improving on the whole, but that once a week or so you just have a little breakdown and cry because... mood😒 I'm trying so hard to start journaling too! I need to sort out my mess of a brain😅
I related to your mental health being wobbly, I really hope that your journal helps you offload your thoughts before you get to this point again. I have discovered Fantasy books since subscribing to your channel a few months ago. I finally finished The Institute by Stephen King.... I found it to be an amazing read x
Usually Jan feels super long for me. But if feels like it flew by this year! It may be that we are usually super cold in Jan (like 10-20 below zero Fahrenheit on the regular) and it's been so nice you barely need a jacket.
omg i know how you feel with your birthday being the last thing before covid hit last year, i remember going to a super crowded restaurant for my birthday last year and its crazy to think everything shut down just a couple weeks later!

I love journaling, just started it this year and it's sooo much fun. I did butcher one of my drawings today (a doodle of a dragon of all things) and I'm a little bit mad about that. 😂
I had a DNF as well. This will teach me to get a book just off of hype and other peoples reviews. I wasn’t really interested to start. Got the 2nd in a book box, so bought the 1st. Made it over 300 pages in Strange the Dreamer, and just couldn’t do it. I was bored. I wanted to read, but didn’t want to read that book. Kept trying to find other things to do.
Oooooh I didn't like that book either and read it mostly because of the hype. I did finish it but it was not a pleasant journey. I disliked the characters and it was very much focused on them.
