Sleepy Hollow Rag (a Unique Rag Novelty) by Clarence Woods, composed in 1918.
October 'spooky season' music continues with a cozy acoustic performance of the Sleepy Hollow Rag. I find this one to be a bit more melancholic than spooky, but it's a beautiful piece either way, and is at least thematically appropriate for Halloween. Woods had a very small ragtime output but made a significant contribution (Bill Edwards has a great bio on his website you can read here: ragpiano.com/ragtime4.shtml ) Enjoy! 🎃🐎🦇
