Just once during the show I want to hear someone make the joke :” for a guy without a head, he has pretty good aim”. I’m still working on season 2 so there’s still time
If they had limited the content to the headless horseman legend, 4 horseman of the apocalypse, revolutionary history, American sites of haunting & maybe black slavery VOODOO of the South the show might have had more success.
It still hurts that Nicole Beharie had to go " out of health reasons " as said a) She was so wonderfull sassy and had her own haed and was not just some groupy as some ofl the female side kicks in Doctor Who for example b) She came up with own concepts and plans c) She gave the right kind of humorous echo to the Ichaboderies Ichabod Crane produced d) The end and exit of Lieutnant Miles really was not the best, yes it felt improvised by the writers I wished they had added Betsie Ross ( Nicki Read ) instead as a partner for Crane. That stuff with the young girl was not the best idea and Betsie gave Crane as much Contra as Lieutenant Miles did.
It only became boring for me when Icabad started to sound like Sheldon from Big Bang - too snarky and knowing more than the other characters…despite being the 21st century…where it should be the other way around The redeeming episode was when the officer was sent back in time and became the lead role despite being trapped yet she managed to not be like her counterpart and be a know it all Season 3 I did know existed but when I heard the officer was killed off…I thought what was the point
