im a 1st clarinet in symphonic band in 8th grade n i can play this. when you play the instrument for so long and are use to the notes its alot easier then when you look at it the first couple if times
Prrrrrrrrrrrrractice. It really is that simple. Practice with a tuner. Look up alternate fingerings for the altissimo stuff. For a piece like this, *really listen* to professional recordings and try to emulate their tight, clean staccato articulations. Also, his horn (some kind of RC Prestige?) and barrel and mouthpiece are all helping.
as a young clarinet player, i am learning this! i thought that this song would be hard with the “high” notes but i’m doing a festival with other bands in my county this january, and i’m learning notes i didn’t even know exsisted! so honestly compared to the festival music i have, this song is easy!
I played this at my highschool, and applied on a form to see the band there and participate. People like me who had been in band for a long time applied too, but let me tell you WHEN I SAW THIS ORIGINAL PIECE OF MUSIC AND THE HIGH NOTES AND EVERYTHING I SAID WOWW ❗❗❗ Respect for you!!!!!!!!!!!! I will continue to practice 👹
2022 I found three playing Sleigh Ride, 1 topped the other two that were also very good. 2023 I found one, festive, uplifting, and the spirit of the holiday as if transcribed for the audience. I like it very much, the talent that is; the one found of course, you guessed it, You. Keep up applying yourself toward all your goals utilizing that vigor, energy and awakening spirit. 😃👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🎄🤶🎅 HAPPY 2024 !
I play clarinet too, and it's so weird watching different perspectives of the song. I just went through a binge-watching session of like seven different perspectives, now hearing it from the place I'm used to is just so strange lol. The arrangement was a little different than the one I'm used to though.
I played the 1st clarinet on Sleigh ride while my friend who is a senior in high school same thing with me she got to ply the Eb Clarinet part because we have no flutes in our band since our only flute player graduated last year.
This dude plays extremely good and has one of the best looking clarinets ever 😍 While me in middle school can barely play a high note and has a clarinet that was just taken to the shop and still won’t work 😅
I play 1st clarinet on this too… but I think our director gave us a super easy version because there isn’t a bunch of trolls or eighth notes, just the basic rhythms and there aren’t any altísimo notes… crying
Hello! Here are a few tips if you want to do clarinet. So I’m sure someone will show all about the different parts of the clarinet, so I’m not gonna mention what they are, but if you want me to, I will. 1: Make sure you leave a hair of black at the top when you put your reed on. 2: ALWAYS make your reed wet by putting it in your mouth when putting the clarinet together. It makes it sound wayyyy better. 3: Never put your ligature too tight or too loose. 4: Cover your bottom teeth with your bottom lip, put your front teeth on that top part thing. That’s how you play. 5: Make a “too” sound with your tongue. Your tongue is the most important part. When you make the too sound, it should hit the very tip of the reed. That’s how’s you tongue. 6: Have fun!! I have only done clarinet for 4 months and I love playing it. P.S. Make sure to practice!
@@TheSuperStarPro oh wow! these are amazing tips that i will try!! btw, is it too late to start learning clarinet (a new instrument) in my freshman year of highschool? cause i’m wondering will i be behind everyone else especially if im in marching band…..?
Dude!!!! How do you get your sound like that??? If you look at my videos I really need some feedback, I don't feel as good at clarinet as I should be, not just learning-the-music-wise... Dude you're incredible
bro im in 7th grade band and we gotta do this song called “Brazilian Bell Carol” and im 1st clarinet too and its hard. Nice playing keep up the great work!
I’ve been playing for about 7 years now, but I’ve really only practiced consistently the past 3-4. I normally practice 5-6 days a week for about an hour or two
Wonderful. Just clicked on your channel and saw your other stuff. Wishing you the best in your degree. I think you'll really enjoy it and your programs will be lucky to have you@@dasclarinet
@@ph0ebep06 I actually just passed the Juilliard prescreening; will be auditioning live in March. I’m also audition for Indiana, northwestern, Eastman, UNT, and some more music schools.
You just got to find the right voicing for them. The only way is just to practice them, preferably with a tuner if you’re not familiar enough with the notes
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT We are sinners, we all deserve to be punished for our sins but Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, paid our punishment for us on the cross in full. He did this for us so that whoever believes in Him and repents, should not be punished, but have eternal life with Him in heaven! We have to get right with God. Please turn to him today. :)
