For those who don't know, the Revengance Katana was based off the game Metal Gear Rising: Revengance, where one of the primary mechanics is being able to slice objects and enemies any way you want.

I believe the one in here is Jetstream Sam’s Murasama HQ Blade, owing to its Red Glow. The game was one of the most badass games I ever experienced, high velocity hack and slash AND an amazing story with so many details.

I looked through the comments and I didn’t see anyone mention it (sorry if someone did) but judging by the name and how it controls. I’m gonna say that katana is a reference to the HF Murasama blade from Metal gear rising revengeance. At the same time it’s been forever since I played the game and I don’t remember it having a sword beam ability, so it could just be one huge coincidence.

It's literally *Revengeance* katana so yes, it is the HF blade from Rising. And yes, the HF Muramasa indeed does have a sword beam attack. Though the way it works in this mod is probably the modder trying to recreate how a HF blade can cut things beyond its actual length in the form of a sword beam, rather than a swirling cluster of sword waves like in Rising.

There's also an Excalibur mod which is amazing, as well as a Staff of Osiris, a Staff of Merlin, and a Spear of Odin mod. They are all amazing as well as a map where you can "fight" a dragon

I saw someone using this katana before and I know that you not only can change the direction of the cut, but also change how wide it can be. I have no idea, which button does that, but I'm sure you can. Beside that, this always reminds me of Getsuga Tenshou. And simply because of that, now I'd love to see some actual mods that includes Bleach most iconic attacks. Also, since I'm a fan of DMC series, I think Vergil's Yamato iconic attacks would be hella good to mod into this game (Judgment Cut and Judgment Cut End).

God I love that katana. So happy to see it and to know what game it is from. It’s from Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. It’s used by the main character Raiden and it links up to his cybernetics. In game (and I’m sure I’m tear down) it works best with slowed down time. You cut something into a 100 pieces and than see what happens.

It's actually the Murasama, the legendary Rodriguez heirloom blade forged by a master swordsmith that had gone through a few modern upgrades to cut through denser materials, the High-Frequency upgrade has greatly accentuated the blades already high quality as well as giving the blade a red glow

It's cool how far along this game has come, it started out so small but has blown up in popularity and capability, and as a voxel based game it's such a novel idea. Also, Generation Zero is an awesome game, I've got hundreds of hours into it. I love playing solo on Guerilla difficulty, it makes for a hell of a challenge and intense experience, Avalanche did an amazing job.
