I feel like this is in an alternate reality where expunged never stopped growing his hat, and is now breaking reality. Thats at least my take in the slidenoteifcation story.
That is actually kinda correct (I think?) I haven't decided what the lore will actually be, but for now it's like this: After Slidenotefication 6, Boyfriend wasn't happy with Expunged being free from the [______] virus, so he decided to explore alternate universes to what if he didnt decide to help Expunged. The majority of the universes that Boyfriend found were corrupted because of the sheer size of Expunged's hat, but after what felt like eternity he finally found a stable universe. Expunged, knowing darn well what Boyfriend was doing, cursed him in the game's hud (as seen in the bottom left corner), and he tries his best to kill Boyfriend, but to no avail. After Slidenotefication 7, Expunged gets fully taken over by [______], and Boyfriend kinda felt bad for them, so he decided to go to the universe he was in before.
