Slideway Grinding of the underside of a Bridgeport milling machine table 

Rough grinding the underside of a Bridgeport 48” table, before some smart arse comments “ your putting to much heat into this it will distort or where’s the coolant” this was the last job of the day, the finishing and dovetail where done the next day at ambient temperature, I’ve never seen coolant used on the Churchill type slideway grinders for the obvious reason that most of it will end up half way up the nearest wall but I am looking into the feasibility of a mist system
