Magnets initially sound like a great idea, but I can imagine there would be polarity incompatibility when scrambling the sliding 3x3. Even if the pieces manage to stay in place next to opposite polarity ones, it could possibly cause a lot of tension within the puzzle that will complicate the solve such as rows moving out of place unintentionally

A puzzle stand, that is a puzzle MIND: BOOM

The sliding 3x3 is freaking awesome. I agree that it would benefit greatly from some sort of clicking mechanism and that magnets would probably be the best choice. I would love to see a mass produced version that turns much better and also features the clicking mech.

Sliding 3x3x3 looks sick. Incidentally I think it may actually open up the possibilities to solve once you unscramble the "slides" and got all corners back to corners and sides to sides.

You can keep the sliding 1x2x3 and stand puzzle :D I must of forgot to mention that in my note, whoops!

That's the one thing about 3d printing that I always forget. You can use it to design and create your own custom shape mods.

That 1x2x3 is pretty cool. It’s a nice little thing to fiddle with when you’re just chilling.

The puzzles look great! Whenever the sliding 3x3 is finalized, it'll be interesting to see how hard it is to solve.

when you love twisty puzzles so much ur stand is a twisty puzzle

the 180 cube was tricker than I expected when I first tried it just on my normal 3x3. From the point you were at you could have held one set of edges on the right and done R2 U2 X3 which would have put all of the incorrect edges in the middle slice. From there you can do R2 U2 R2 B2 a few times and it will either solve the cube, or put you in a case where you can do M2 U2 M2 U2 to solve it.

I modded my 3x3 to a 180 cube and I swear I didn't knew that it already exists. I made algs by myself and found a fast way to solve it under a minute!

Sliding 3x3 needs a button in the middle of the centerpieces that allows it to slide. So you can move it easily, click the button to slide, and then lock it back to normal movement.

Just realized that i watch like 4 different cubing channels with similar voices and its not just one big channel

U2 R2 U2 F2 U2 R2 U2 F2 gives you a 3-cycle of edges on the 180 cube, which is what you need to finish off the cube from where you got it to. To be honest it took me quite a while to figure it out when I was solving it.

I'm a little uncomfortable. I just picked up my rubix cube for the first time in over a year, and just today I get a rubix cube related video in my suggested. I didn't even SAY the word rubix cube all day. How... How did this happen? This stuff happens to me all the time. The internet scares me. Edit: If one more fucking human being decides that they need to correct me on my spelling of the Rubik's cube I'm gonna fucking ddos somebody. Like fr how do people have the time to go through the comments and correct people for a typo? I don't even want to correct just bc I wanna see how many mfs don't have a life and can't help themselves 💀 Update: I said I was gonna ddos someone. I accidentally did it to myself. Idk what to do now.

While I may not be an expert, I would advise the designer of the slider cubes to look into ratchet systems. That'd help stabilize the cube a bit more.
