The thing is the majority of Misfits fans would rather see KSI vs Tommy Fury over Slim vs Salt Papi. Even though Salt and Slim are the much better fighters and will put on a better fight, they think KSI hugging for 6 rounds is more entertaining because they get to see their hero with his shirt off. I'm not sure how Slim finds a bigger opponent than Salt Papi and if he really does much PPV numbers.

It's hard not to cheer for Slim and want him to win. He's a good guy, actually loves boxing (not just doing it for a paycheck), and is very humble in victory. Great job and Congrats Slim/Champ!!!
Slim has always been a champion of Wade and Sensei even when they weren't rooting specifically for him. And even when they offered criticism he would listen. Unlike other fighters in the scene Slim doesnt get angry when people have feedback. Instead of throwing a tantrum or having an ego, he goes out there and proves it to his detractors. He puts it on himself to make see his worth. He is absolutely the star of the influencer boxing scene. I know he wont ever be able to fight people like Jake Paul because of the massive weight and size differences. But i dont want to hear about the Logan Pauls or KSIs who are extremely overrated and lack skills like Slim
Rewatched the fight for myself and even in the second round you can see Slim slowly doing better in the clinch. Wasn't winning but slowly started to fight back more and more

why people saying salt was winning “comfortably”? salt won rounds 1&2 and slim won rounds 3&4. if it continued, winner would be whoever wins round 5, but slim finished him early which is impressive. i love salt papi but lets give slim credits and not make excuses cuz i see lots of excuses going around
@@HiAmDerksnah showboating or not, that’s not an excuse. its basically saying if slim had better stamina and defense in the first two rounds, he’d win. slim won fair and square. salt lost round 3 as he was getting caught, slim finished him. it’s not how you start, it’s how you end it.

I completely agree with Wades take on Papi coming in fighting in that AT styler clinch and find the space but he got overconfident and tried to answer everything slim threw which ended up causing him to get caught by the Right hand Sniper 💪🏼
People always underestimate Slims power and make the BIG mistake of trying to trade with him. That surprising power + his ability to hit at awkward angles makes him so dangerous here.
I said slim would win an I was told he has no chance , he is too skinny papi will destroy him etc . I hope the haters give him the respect and credit he deserves. One of the most entertaining and one of the best fighters in the scene imo

And heavily biased towards KSI. Salt Papi is signed to Happy Punch which is closely aligned to Misfits. Slim seems to be wanting bigger pay and bigger fights. I'd bet Misfits had some influence in wanting the audience on the side of KSI and also Salt Papi.
@@marksommers4179Add being biased AGAINST Astrid Wett too. I agree with the commentator bias, and I think that swayed a lot of people in the communities opinions on some of these fights. I’ve seen so many people talk about some of these fights and it’s like they weren’t even watching the same fight, or were only listening to the fight through the commentators. The commentators would talk how great one fighter was looking, even if they were losing, and then either say nothing when the other fighter had their moments, or not give as positive of a reaction, OR they would be like “___ is in trouble here.. they need to pick it up” EVEN IF THEY VERY OBVIOUSLY WEREN’T IN TROUBLE OR WERE CLEARLY AHEAD.

When she wasn't being active and beating her out the outside and the inside, she was getting the better of every single trade. But for some reason the commentators the whole fight were ignoring everything and being like "Idk if she has this she needs to do more". If the gloves were lighter Astrid would have probably knocked her out.

Jarvis coming in that ring was dumb as hell. He hasn’t had a misfits fight. He just got outclassed by Gib. Yet they let him interrupt slim’s moment to call for a title shot he doesn’t deserve yet. Like doesn’t he have some more kids to save or something?
Jarvis was done dirty by Misfits. But he also should've known to not get right in Slim's face. He should've kept some distance and then jumped in at the right time. You can tell he was very uncomfortable doing it and with good reason too. Misfits I'm sure had him ready to go up to Slim or Salt Papi, They were probably hoping it'd be Salt Papi and wanted Jarvis to get some hype infront of the UK fans. To be fair to Jarvis, there really isn't that many matches that make sense for someone like Slim. He can't really tell Jarvis he hasn't proven anything because the pool of fighters is way too small. Gib would obviously be the #1 most anticipated and definitely main event worthy.
I like Slim, and his accomplishments cant be understated, but he doesn't have a big enough name to draw people for a main event. This is influencer boxing, so you gotta have a big name outside of what you do in the ring. Huge win for Slim though, and I honestly hope he gets a main event, but the math doesnt add up. Gib even less so. Gib proves he empties seat as soon as he enters the ring.
What really help papi was holding the back of slim's head and pushing him down stopping slim from moving and popping and weaving.. he even hit him with a few rabbit punches
I’ve been Slim fan since day one when he KOd Fousey, he us now the only fighter out of all the RU-vidrs that hasn’t lost a fight he’s now 7 fights 5 by KO, I don’t know if they can get the weights right but it should be Tommy if not then KSI or Jake Paul but the KSI would pull big numbers for sure, I’m spewing I can’t bet on his fights 🥊
Everyone is switching on slim now and pretending they rooted for him from the start. Some people instead of crediting slim for being underrated are calling salt papi overrated
People were saying salt lost his power and would of beat slim at the old weight but boxing is all about weight classes so if slim was at salts old weight like both of them slim would still win cause he’d just have more power imagine slim he’s super skinny and has power
Is slim still close with Adam salaeh I thought they were best buddies I remember him from watching Adam boxing videos way before this RU-vid boxing thing kicked off.
