Dude, I rolled slimeballs back in 1988 on an Alva board as heavy as a brick. I mastered the kick flip with the setup too. Had to work with what I could being a poor kid who loved skating. I had a black set and a red set.
I have an og pair of OJ street razors from early 90’s. Found them in a shop that had just sat on ‘em for years. These remind me of those. Heavy, not too great for powerslides, but fast and durable.
I love slime balls! I ride the 97a on all my boards. Fast on concrete and grip really well too on slippery indoor wood parks. Perfect wheels for everything. They come in white 54, 56, 58 and 60mm. Got some 95a 56mm if it's a really slippy indoor wood park, which gives you even more grip but still fast!
i have a lot of wheels and now im starting to like a lot 97a wheels. On 97a I have minicubic, powells G and slimeballs. Its a very good durometer to use all around. All of those works very well on street. skateparks and bowls
I have a set of the 97a vomit minis that i got in a mystery box. I haven't skated them yet because I have like 5 pairs of formula 4s I've been rotating through but I have heard they're pretty good wheels.
Wheels cone/deteriorate from pivoting and freestyling on streets, you can skate a skatepark forever and never change your wheels, they actually get tougher, good narration though
