I wouldn't want to be shot with any kind of round, steel or lead from any slingshot! Guaranteed if someone was shot they'd think twice about hanging around! Great video to show actual power achievable with different band attachments.

Shot with flat bands and you will double the power!

Perfect ambush weapon it'silent compact and easily concealed . Try glass marbles their cheap very hard and smooth and fly very accurate over short distance and hit hard I always carry a pocket full when out with my Catapult .

That's really some great slingshot work! Most recently, I pulled out a couple of my slingshots and began getting familiar with them. When I was a kid, I was almost as good as you. After a few practice rounds, it all came back to me. I love my sling shots! LOL I've put one in my Get Home Bag and my Bug Out Bag. Stainless steel bearings work well and when those run out, well...there are plenty of rocks. David mastered his slingshot (Called a fustibal, or staff-sling, the weapon was used to throw stones.) So we know they are lethal!! (Better not tell any Liberals, because they will try to outlaw them!)

Interesting video. I wonder if you would have had the same results if you had not already hit the coconut with the first two shots. Just wondering if the first two shots may have weakened the coconut which made it possible for the third shot to break it. I usually over-think stuff. :)

I'm gonna do this with 9.5 steel going about 315fps and see what happens

Very cool. I doubt anyone would be on their feet after any of those shots. A hit in the chest would probably take the wind out of most people too. I'm curious if lighter ammo moving faster would penetrate. The 3/8th/9.5mm at 315fps suggested or even smaller, 1/4 inch for example. A BB at 500 fps can put holes in all sorts of things and it's essentially a third of a 1/4 inch steel in weight. Of course not much value against people, but it could useful for critters.

Great video bro a point though about the gloves I smacked my knuckle a good one learning to shoot short draw found that if I lift my right elbow a little high above level I never get a fork hit or anything near my left hand... just a thought don't always have gloves available when the s*** hits the fan, eh.

Awesome shooting test! I once shot a guy an aggressive guy in Adam's apple with a slingshot and he dropped fast!

Be interesting to cover the coconut with a good few inches thick of Balistic gel! see what happens when you shoot it then!😂 I watched a video of guy we have have in the UK called Gamkeeper John,who both shoots and makes slingshots,,,shooting at a raw chicken 🐔and almost every time he shot it it went straight through it!

Very cool video! Always watching your videos with a lot of pleasure 👍🏻. I think, when you want to have better penetration, you need more speed. When you shoot fairly big ammo (half inch) with a short pull draw (fairly slow), you’ll create more momentum than penetration power. Momentum doesn’t necessarily means good penetration. You can achieve better penetration with a longer pull draw (creating more speed) and some smaller ammo, and still being very accurate with more practice. More speed with the right amount momentum = better penetration. But of course we talk about self defense here, with a setup that doesn’t require year(s) of practice. I think you have to choose between speed and momentum. I guess you have to go with momentum (big heavy ammo), like you’re doing in this vid. Personally I’m shooting full butterfly (long pull) with 11mm steel, that is traveling around 300fps. For me this is the perfect combination between momentum and speed. I’m using 0,6mm Sniper Sling flat bands. With this light draw a can achieve very good accuracy. But it’ll take way more time to master. I hope to see more video with a slingshot!!🎯
