Wondered ,now roll up too pallet, or stack place tabs all the way back where u want ur load, push gently ease it off..I've done this before unloading staging..now I know how stacking is done. WONDERFUL JOB YOUNGMAN.
It all depends on what surface you have to work with. If your product is on the standard pallet, then it's very very difficult to have the thin counterbalance forks go under the product (weight also factors much more if the product varies in size and weights/shape and balanced throughout the shipment). If your having to slide the forks over concrete, then no problem, the slip sheets would accommodate that, yet I have seen where one fork will slice into the slip sheet. So in your suggestion, you don't necessarily need the loom of the counterbalance, which is totally correct and an option. Also if you using the counterbalance on plastic IGPS pallets, or newer Honeycomb, POD pallets.
@yomama4917 true. I'm going off working with cardboard slips slip sheets on smooth concrete warehouse and wood/metal trailer floors. Heavier product driving under was pretty much a given and heavy product on wood pallets loaded sideways we would drive completely under.
As a forklift operator who does like 2 slip sheets a week, this was painful to watch. Drive into the product when it’s on the truck. Scoop it up. Putting on the pallet should take 5 seconds. At 4 minutes a pallet, that truck is gonna take you an hour and a half.
This video is absolutely very well done it demonstrates the proper procedure for new operators to follow In my opinion this could be used as a training video. Well done gentlemen I will save this for our new customers and it’s worth noting that Clark forklifts are the best choice
Saves weight on the trailer. And some warehouses don't have racking and just stack product without pallets. Works alright if there's decent operators and saves millions of dollars in racking costs.
Saves tons of space and money plus food safety. You can put 1000 slips sheet's on 1 single pallet but you would need 2 full trailers to move 1000 pallets. Same with cost, you can buy 1000 slip sheets for the cost of 1 single pallet. Wood also likes to carry bugs and dirt and shit
The slip sheet got torn because the slip sheet was too wide from the onset, and that slip sheet which is somewhat difficult to tear should have been centered before placing the product on to it. So it's not equipment operator issue, rather warehouse management dysfunctional sequencing. At 3:26 of this video, the skilled licensed counterbalance operator shown some skills I had not seen and I am glad to see his skill level achievements.
This is exactly not how to use a QFM push pull device, QFM means Quick Fork Mounted, however someone forget to tell this to the operator. If you watch carefully you will see the platens are bending due to lack of support forks underneath, load is dancing on platens and on top of that the platens as well as the horizontal part of the frame will bend beyond repair, resulting in a € 5.044 (list price per 01-04-2022) frame and € 1.976,- for the platens (list price per 01-04-2022). If this operator was instructed, he would also drive forward during pulling, avoiding tension on the tab.
I had to go back and see this video, your correct, at 2:25 it shows the platens bending and seen the dancing. Thank you for your great observation. Dudes not even wearing a seat-belt as well, making this video inappropriate for training value.
Ngl tht was slow😂i put my push all the way forward push it against the boxes grab the slip go forward as its pulling back then im gone. And as far as puttin it ona pallet i dont need nobody to guide me u just gotta know your load it aint hard to line up the boxes closest to u with the edge of the pallet, as long as thts lined up ur good just start backin up and pushin at the same time and u wont have no problems
Same time tho he prolly def training but they should be training him better. I can slip a truck makin 23 pallets in 40 mins if i gotta lay the pallets out myself if someone lay em out for me i can prolly do it in 25 but not often at all someone lay out pallets for me so idk and thts ona old school forklift at tht
