lol. i was going to comment almost exactly what you wrote and realized it was already the top comment. for real though, that was one of the first things I noticed
@@TheIndustrialRetrospective I agree actually, many people really loved dynamo for some reason. I didn't like it because of terrible sound mixing, and Corey just mumbling everything.
@@vitorbueno4301 early Slipknot wasn't cringe. Their old live performances were amazing, and they were the reason the band was so popular, the music helped but their live performances were what put them on the map and to the top.
I’m definitely getting more of a Michael Myers vibe, especially with his trimmer hair. I also think the mask is a blend of his IOWA and AHIG masks as well.
Matt Solegod when bands do stuff like that it’s usually cause there going off the recording like on the record otherwise having three high pitched octvaves would sound a little werid the record does it a little bit but it’s not to bad but live I think it would sound really werid so a lower octave makes sense and it’s perfect
Both Jay and Joey are great drummers. But I would argue that Joey is a better fit for Slipknot and a bit more talented. If you have a good ear for music you'll notice that Jay uses a lot of the same fills in his songs, whereas with Joey he had a lot more variety in his playing style
@@natedog9452 100% agree. Joey uses his Toms a lot more and definitely has a wider variety of fills etc. Jay is tight and a good drummer but Joey is on another level. I miss Paul not being in the band as well.
@@slipknot9213 Do you mean autotune? If so then they don't, Corey himself said he hates autotune and thinks it ruins modern music. The reason he sounds different is because of the production done on the songs in the studio.
I figured when they played this live that the singing parts would be played through the speakers and Corey would do the part that TMans doing but I have to admit I actually like this version better!
I actually really like the way new guy sounds, it kinda adds to the sound of it live, 10/10 on backing vocals, and the bridge of the song he did very good as well, probably the most hes screamed live. Overall, 10/10 on this one for new guys, coreys and shawns vocals, along with the bridge before the breakdown.
Craxity I know that Chris and clown use to back up vocals and some of them were mostly Chris but it seems that clown doesn’t have a whole lot of vocals on this record or he still doesn’t have vocals but letting new guy do it to work on his voice maybe but new guy killed this has that Chris vibe with the breakdown vocals Chris could have been better who knows we never will know but new guy is awesome adds a new layer of energey that he has on stage but as for clown I haven’t heard much of his vocals lately I’m not sure what’s up if he’s backing off them and not doing as much or letting new do it or clowns voice might be a little fucked from the last tour who knows
Simen Grimsmo not usually a fan of a high snare live but with how jay tunes up his drum heads it sounds really good maybe lossen it up abit for not so high pitch for a album type sound or maybe he’s going for a Joey type sound since high snares and kicks were usually what Joey had
Nick Miller he replaced the guy who inspired him jay was at an early years concert and said he will play drums for this band one day and it happened I know all that but I mean with the way his drums are set up he kinda sounds like joeys drums from say 2009 backwards u know as when jay stared it sounded way different then to what it does now and has that Joey type sound u know
Wallace Rodrigues they overhauled his side with a converter belt thing 😂😂😂😂 didn’t even notice would look cool if he did that shuffle thing he does make it look like he’s movin and shit other then jjst shuffling lol that L.D. for pointing it out
@@coverstream9951 I'm on about nero forte not slipknot in general cus all there performances are amazing cus all the other videos are all shakey and bad quality
Bryan Dickerson that’s the thing bro they have such a huge library now that’s it’s impossible to include everything that people wanna hear jim has said we wanna play new stuff like spiders and Nero forte but everyone just wants the old stuff so it’s a little hard to do without someone goin “awww I wish they played this when we went” you know I get what he saying but it’s getting to a point where it’s impossible clown wants them to do at least a 2 hour show so to get all the hits and some new stuff in two hours u realllyyyyyy gotta pick carefully u know
I was there and i consider it one of the best nights of my life. I am so happy that i was sober because i never want to forget any minute of it. Fack I'd do anything to rewind and go back again
Not sure Jay could play Gematria but would be impressed if he could pull it off. Jay doesnt seem a big Tom tom or technical fill type of player so that would be interesting.
Tortilla man's vocals sound grate but its way too muffled underneath his mask. Needs a new that's less restrictive and doesn't muffle him. (He also has a lot of sids energy)
Tortilha melhorou muito como vocal e apresentação de palco ano passado parece que os vocal dele não aparecia muito, mas agora ta muito bom 3:19 a parte que ele fica do lado do corey pra canta nossa que vibe boa, tortilha é brabo demais
@@alanheyes694 I know I can't wait to see the official show with clean audio, but he said I think in an interview that there were specific songs that were quite tricky to perform live gematria too I think so thats why
@@espen4330 LOL no they wouldn't. Other than the solo, it's mainly just fast down picking. It's your standard Slipknot palm muting, pinch harmonics, tremolo picking, and power chords
Woowww. Just watched custer live 2019, and went to this after reading the comments on that video regarding tortilla man. He definitely has improved A LOT!!
They somewhat changed the song a bit, huh?? Corey was the one originally spitting out the fast lyrics, but they still birthed another sure to be SLIPKNOT set list staple, huh?? Great live.
Corey is doing all vocals in the recorded song. Michael os doing fast ones live because corey doesn't have 2 throats. Plus, here we have corey sings chorus an octave lower.
When they build back up to the chorus towards the end of the song, Tortilla Man actually comes in too early. You can clearly hear Corey being thrown off by it.
