@@FlipperWolf ofc but i tnk his talk about calmly crowd behavior. so even trough the camera you feel this silent moments in the track not for pause and rest, it's for contrast and show readiness to break into a crazy scream. Totally not a “hands in the air and make some noise” moment.
Corey said in an interview he thought these deeper-cut songs were "poorly received" during this era, and I'm so sad he feels that way. It was super super rad to see these songs they'd never played before come out and I wish they'd continue the trend. No hate at all but I'd take this instead of hearing Wait and Bleed for the 3000th time.
actually you could hear him but this is a soundboard recording missing his channel, I need to do a matrix with my personal audio recording to upgrade it (to be able to hear the crowd as well)
@@internetguy9531 it's how japanese fans always have been, go back and watch Lamb Of God's documentsry "walk with me in hell" it was in 2006 and they talk about fans in japan sitting still then clapping after every song. They focus and pay attention and show respect as part of their culture. Or are you a jackass?
what makes this performance so great is that corey sounds hurt, he sounds as if he was torn apart, put back together, and torn apart a hundred more times and puts the anguish he felt into a performance, this makes me feel like corey is returning to the iowa phase for this song
Same man, I was extremely bummed out that it wasn't on the Disasterpieces DVD considering it was my favorite track on the album. The DVD was still absolutely amazing but if Skin Ticket was in the track list, it would have been flawless (IMO). His vocals here do sound the best they have since that era, but nothing can compare to his raw, guttural screams from the Iowa era. Regardless, this still is an amazing performance of the song and I am glad I found it.
This performance is honestly so pure (in metal terms ofc). That energy, the violence, aggression, the vocals, everything just points toward a higher unit. Fucking masterpiece
Yeah it's something special, different vibe. Personally i prefer my Skin Ticket recordings from Bogota/Mex City and Lima though because Clown is part of it.
Son - “Hey dad, why is my sister named Rose?” Father - “Well because your mother loves roses, son.” Son - “Oh alright. Thanks dad.” Father - “No problem, Slipknot LIVE Skin Ticket - Tokyo, Japan 2016”
@@NeetuSingh-gl1ue so the mother loves roses, so they named the daughter Rose, and the father loves this particular video, so they named the son "Slipknot LIVE Skin Ticket - Tokyo, Japan 2016"
I remember when I was like 13-14 and this was the first song I heard by them. This song scare the shit out of me. But for some reason I came for that song again and again.
you can clearly see, corey is givin it all he got. there was no "he is holdin back teh IOWA scream", he just cant reach the hights anymore but it still sounds brutal, like the iowa scream but deeper
Knowing we don't get to hear Chris screaming "Empathy" live again = sad times. His scream was awesome in this and Custer. Pfaff is sweet on the drums, but just hasn't quite got the vocal stuff down yet. Hopefully he levels up for the next tours!
@@excisionsstepserum8336 I haven't seen them live since their O2 arena show in London last year, but in the live vid of Custer from March this year in North Dakota, he's definitely improved!
I mean nothing probably happened than, not that I know of. But I saw in an interview with loud wire talking about Chris and Chester mentioning that he has Manic Depression which means he goes through highs and lows, I imagine he was really feeling it at this time…
This is one of the most effective slipknot songs. I always loved them for creepy ass songs like gently, this, tattered & torn, and then they also had this heaviness that seemed to be born out of true insanity. This song represents both sides so well.
4:48 those iowa screams are really trying to come out but Corey's vocal chords can't do that no more once someone voice changes their scream changes too
Been following SLIPKNOT since 1999, and I have to confess that I cried at the end of the song, Not afraid to admit my age (42). I will be a maggot 4ever.
This is the perfect example of a dedicated and passionate artist who puts his soul and heart on the table just for us. Corey you are on in a million! 👍💜💜💜
Butcher's Hook and Skin Ticket are both my favorite compositions by Slipknot. Third would be Disasterpiece. Absolutely wonderful musicality! I love most their music so, so, so profoundly!
