I think "The Devil In I" would be a good Slipknot song for you guys (from The Gray Chapter album). A similar feel with the softer and harder mix, and one that Dave probably hasn't heard too.
Corey Taylor has an incredible voice. I feel like Slipknot kinda messed up by not utilizing his voice more in their music. This is a good example of them showing off his vocal talent. Love this song!
If you want the really heavy songs, you need songs from the Iowa album - Disasterpiece, Metabolic, People = Shit, The Heretic Anthem. Solway Firth from their newest album is pretty heavy too. Everything they've ever made is amazing, though, so you cannot go wrong!
Spit it out: live at download 2009!! If you want to see crowd control and the crouching down segment that you spoke about in wait and bleed! You can thank me later 👊🏻
If you guys are liking the mix of melodic and heavy vocals, something from Trivium would be up y'alls alley. Something from their Shogun album. Shogun, Down From the Sky, Throes of Perdition - all excellent songs.
Spit it out live from download 2009 I believe is a great one to react to. Great crowd work. Amazing performance. If you want much heavier you can go for disasterpiece, people = shit. They have a lot to pick from
Now we need a Slipknot Live video with an even heavier song, Disasterpiece from London 2002 is the perfect song! and you get to watch them in their Prime! Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n7Zgz-8PsnA.html
If you haven't reacted to any of the latest Slipknot album that's a solid album with heavy mixed in with melodic metal. I'd say definitely react to Nero Forte or Unstained. But off of the same album the song Liar's Funeral has a mix of heavy metal, thrash and the soft melodic singing. Keep up the good work guys 🤘
Slam bands were out around the same time as Slipknot but they were nowhere near as popular, obviously. Check out Epicardiectomy and Devourment who were inspired by the song Liege of Inveracity by Suffocation.
You guys should check out KORN "blind" great hype song it will make you wanna punch someone in the throat. First I think 48 seconds seem long but the build up is worth it
Have you guys reacted to any of Corey Taylors solo stuff yet? If not you need to get on that, especially songs from his London show.. the man is incredible!
Suggestions: Slipknot - Left Behind, Sulphur Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes - Juggernaut, Trouble, Fangs Gallows - Misery, London Is The Reason (Official Videos, sadly censored but worth watching) P.S. Frank Carter was the vocalist in Gallows and now has his own band going with his friend and guitarist Dean Richardson + his a fellow brit of yours.
