VIDEO I MADE FOR SLIPKNOT MASK MAKER CHECK IT OUT BADASS WORK: • Iowa Clown Mask Airbru... This is a great performance of slipknot playing wait and bleed from 1999. ENJOY! Please Comment and Rate
well, thats not COREYS original mask. That mask hes wearing is a ghost glow. His VERY FIRST mask was a tyco crash test dummies 1992 mask turned inside out with dreadlocks.
The dummy was never turned inside out, I know he's said that in interviews like with MFKR1.com a few years ago but I have an original and Corey's was definitely not turned inside out. Clown and his wife originally found the mask for Corey when he joined the band, not sure why Corey thought it was inside out but it wasn't.
There was nothing wrong with the mic. Mick accidentally stepped on the cord and it flew out of Corey's hand. He even said so in interview with Scuzz TV. Just look it up.
And that is why from that day on sound engineers were like "ok, so we give everyone a wireless microphone system. You never know what crazy shit those rock stars will be doing on stage with those wired microphones." And everything was good ever since.
TheInfantFinite666 that's for sure, no one can beat the age lol. Look Mick's handbanging he used to be . Fucking insane!! They're still fantastic and will always be my favorite band.
+iamtheblackwizard88 sure he can, but he fucked up his back, watch newer concerts... He's still headbanging but not hung down over his guitar like he used to
hotsauce theboss no, he had two masks. The first was the slamm dummy mask that started to melt to his face and this one is the ghost glow mask that he used after.
Robbie Ferratto Correct. The "crash dummy" mask was picked out by Clown after Corey's first show Slipknot (when the white latex melted to his face). That mask just fell apart and, according to Corey, was mostly duct tape for about month. Then they picked out the "Scarecrow" A.K.A. the "Ghost face" right after.
Evinyme is correct. Shawn Crahan and his wife picked the incredible crash dummies mask for Corey to wear for the second show on September 12th 1997. He wore liquid latex on his face for the first show on August 24th 1997 and it just melted off and wasn't doing too good for him. Corey wore the crash dummy mask from September 24th 1997 to August 15th 1999. He was last seen with the crash dummy on during a signing on August 14th 1999 and his first appearance with the 'Ghost Glow' aka Scarecrow mask was on August 16th 1999 on the 'Livin La Vida Loco Tour'. Not sure how he acquired that one though .. must've just picked it up at the theatrical shop in Des Moines like most of the other guys did. They also wrapped up his dreads for the 2nd show and pulled them through the mask. Corey later got sick of doing this a few months later in early 1998 so he just cut them all off and glued them to the mask. The mask eventually started to rot and melt to his face so he had to reinforce it with ductape on the inside during Ozzfest 1999. He showed the remains of the mask in an interview on the 'Voliminal' DVD in 2006-2007 and it had almost completely rotted to bits. He threw it out a few years later as it had practically turned to nothing. Corey tried to recreate the mask with a newer version of the mask called 'Slamm Dummy' for the 2011 memorial tour but only ended up wearing it for a couple of shows because it felt uncomfortable to him. These masks weren't anything like the old crash dummy masks as they were bigger and bulkier.
Actually Corey had three masks but his first mask ever was the tyco 1992 crash dummy mask and then there was another one in the late 1999 yours which obviously was his buttgravy mask which is this one on this exact performance and then Igz he still has this exact mask it's still in good shape in 2020 and then the other mask for Slipknot 2000 live is his ghost glow mask Soo yeaa I think the ghost glow mask did the same thing as the 1992 tyco crash dummy mask Soo the ghost glow and then 1992 crash dummy are no longer available like there trash now the only mask he has from 1999 is the butt gravy mask which is his late 1999 mask that one is in a museum in Iowa or some shit like that but that's his only self titled mask he has of right now ;)
Am i the only one that noticed that both Sid's and Craig's tables have a People=Shit logo glued on them? Remember this is '99.. The song came out 2 years after this
First tv appearance for them, glad it was in France, remember seeing this live in 99 and wondering what the fuck was that, I loved it even if even then at 13 I kept thinking Corey needed to do some cardio lol being always out of breath
I remember watching this live on TV as a kid, with my parents next to me. I was like WTF is that ??!! Never saw such a thing before ! I knew that i was witnessing something special !
I was at the gig after this, at the Elysée Montmartre. Their first in France. I was 18, went completely nuts, remember moshing with my backpack. Everyone but a few was petrified. Good times.
I saw it on TV the day it was released on canal+ when i was kid, sound was really great even with my old TV ,better than in this record...and this track is their best.
My god . "and it waits for you" the power of the vocals at this moment... The best moments of corey IMO. Thank you so much Corey for these years , I 'venever heard it before and I will never
it NEVER came out of his hands, there is a wire that goes into the bottom of the mic thats what came undone and it never came out all the way either, you can clearly see him screaming into the mic(which is STILL in his hands) but no audio is going through.
@mblkh2o fucking hav to admit!!! I´m 24 now, and listening to them since I´m 13 !!!! these guys have definately changed my life!! don´t have anything more to say than that.... greetings from germany!
@NevyNevJr this was in 2000 maybe, corey is using his 2000 mask, every year they alternate versions of their mask with the release of every album and its 2 years of promotion, theyre using the red jumpsuits, and the masks still being homemade, iowa masks are different for example here shawn its a normal clown, in iowa his mask is of a demonic clown type, very original, and the people equal to shit reading they always used it on the slipknot album tour much, they already had the idea
@NevyNevJr In fact guys, as I was in the audience this night, and as I was later this night in Élysée Montmartre, I can say it was exactly the 16th December 1999 (with Kill to This opening). Hope it's helping in the debate !
